WTFH Radio, Friday

Cassandra: You did not get me this time, squirrels. I wake up early now.

Anders: I've given up trying to avoid their furry entrapment.

Cassandra: That sounds unlike you.

Anders: I know. Maybe Templars would have better luck with me if they tried throwing acorns.

Cassandra: And spilling rum on your clothes.

Anders: That's such a waste of good rum. Anyhow, yesterday in Driver's Ed, we practiced making left-hand turns. Day After Doomsday got its first word from the outside via a mesage from the bank -- yay! -- but they're running low on food -- boo!. The students had to decide whether or not to go outside, and also plan for food and sanitation and such in the future. Raven asked Hardison whether they could hurt the monsters with fire, and I have to agree with the squirrels: That's the sign of an excellent plan. And Survive the Island talked about ways to fight in a confined space like an alley. Got opinions on that, Cassandra?

Cassandra: It is not difficult, as long as you have a shield. Keep your strikes short and fast. You cannot afford to entrap yourself, either, but again, enough strength and a shield can easily solve that.

Anders: See, listeners? You learned something today. Hopefully none of you will need the advice too soon.

Cassandra: In town, Lottie considered her shop's wares and attempted some music that she had not previously known of. It was apparently a mixed success. And in an impressively well-thought-out turn of events, you decided to go into the water while it was still cold.

Anders: I have an adventurous spirit. … And I thought it wouldn't be as cold as it was.

Cassandra: So you did not think.

Anders: Maybe not.

Cassandra: At Caritas, professor Cara was disgusted by some edible creation of Tino's. I can only conclude it must have been terrible; something with pies and pizzas. Cara has great judgment in such matters. Professor Atton agreed, as he attempted to... slaughter this fearsome pie with a small knife. … Sometimes I do wonder about the faculty.

Anders: Wait, was he trying to kill it or eat it? Because one usually comes before the other.

Cassandra: It was a pie. What do you think?

Anders: I would hope he was eating it, but I wasn't the one who used the word "slaughter."

Cassandra: It was a metaphor. Dipper had to contend with 'dice-themed yoga pants', and I cannot say any word in that sentence makes any sense to me, squirrels. Meanwhile, Edward contended with delivering the mail, until he ran out of items to deliver, and then chose to brood inside about being forced to remain at his place of employment. However, Cosette swiftly arrived to entertain him during his plight.

Anders: I hope he enjoyed the visit. And that's it. Quiet week. No one did anything else?

Cassandra: I am sure they did, but if so, they did so while avoiding the prying eyes of the squirrels.

Anders: For which they get my admiration, at least. So long, island.
