Fandom Radio, Wednesday, May 6th
Good morning, Fandom, Face Loran here, let's see if I can get this one out of the way quickly.
*sound of fluttering pages, many fluttering pages*
Sithspit.
Up at the School, the first week of classes continued with Outdoor Adventures having class out by the lighthouse. Introductions were had, then students had a choice of activities, while students where activitying it up, Kathy went to talk to Elliot about keeping an eye out for Alluka, because she's really, really new.
Jones decided to start History of the Earth out at the very beginning, and it was a gas. Specifically a superheated one that condensed down into a planet. As a result students were both hot and wet as they searched for prehistoric lifeforms.
Popular Mechanics met in the Danger Shop, likely in case any of the Roombas they were modifying decided to destroy the Earth, which would put at crimp on Jones's class at the very least. After class, Ender dragged Ben off to meet their kid, which has the squirrels very excited.
Meanwhile in the Dorms, Ronan talked to his bird, because that's what happens when you're too grumpy to have any other friends.
Over in Town, Didi arrived and was feeding birds in the Park when Jono showed up to talk metaphorical elephants with her, before Cecil's non-metaphorical bird decided he needed to introduce himself to her.
Eponine found gremlin pies in the Post Office, Hardison approved of tasteful decorations at Luke's and Jessica took care of paperwork at a newly reopened Stark Industries.
There was a Cinco de Mayo party at Caritas, and I now hate every adult on this island. The Back Room was set up with drinks and snacks, and Tamsin decided to forgo glasses in favour of drinking straight from the margarita pitcher while talking to Kitty about guyboobs. Didi said hi to her, but the squirrels were too distracted with envy by the pitcher thing to pay any attention. Atton wanted to know why there was always a party and my sympathy is limited. Irene was wearing colour something both and Kitty considered to be noteworthy, before she and Tamsin talked about how they should always have parties on Tuesday. No. Elliot was glad there was a party without sex pollen, which made Atton wonder why there weren't any orgies yet, clearly because someone hasn't been trying hard enough, that someone is not Didi because she points out that she's new, well old-new. Parker was sad about missing the hook-up party on account of Hardison being new in town, because that has clearly stopped the aforementioned Didi.
Kitty realised Washington was a newbie, and they talked about casualties in his class. I can't wait. Atton assures him he won't get stabbed here, which is just asking for it to happen, and Elliot realised he's his teaching buddy. Good job. Kitty was worried about the food but it wasn't a problem because Jones doesn't need to eat. Vic decided to deal with paperwork issues by invoking a plague of mimes, then taunted Elliot, much to the approval of Parker and Hardison. Didi did another round of I'm new, but not new-new with Kitty and got a job out of it, she also scored some churros off Hardison, so a good night for Didi. Kitty mistook Brian for some guy named Cade, which is apparently supposed to explain why the squirrel keep asking me to join a gremlin-bite pool on him, and Washington revealed that he is the ass who kept Brian from breaking into his own apartment, after Brian shared his Mexican Coke with him too, luckily the other person drawn by the lure of this mysterious Mexican Coke was Hardison, who did not reveal any sort of apartment related villainy, though he did sass Washington about his armour.
Eponine was glad Kitty figured out an excuse for a party, which makes one of us, before Didi told her she was glad she wasn't smoking any more, insert your own joke about fire here. Clint didn't want to be rolled out of the bar, because stairs, but was able to start non-dog related discussion with Hardison. Allie and Kitty talked exciting lives and future motorcycles, then she and Elliot made fencing plans. The sword kind. Parker was also glad to see her. Hardison brought snacks, which Kitty and Parker both appreciated. Elliot did not. Which might have been why he was the subject of Allie and Hardison's conversation. Jessica showed up and had that awkward moment when she realised everyone else was older than her, I've been there, she and Elliot then played 'who's going to get the most trashed?' with Jones as their mutual pick. Parker was all about sugar and zombies because Parker, I guess.
Have I mentioned that I hate every adult on the island, yet?
Finally, Kitty got an upsetting phonecall post party, and Clint got to hear all the gory details.
