Fandom Radio, Sunday, October 26th
My subjects. It's me, your Junior Royalty, Johnny Storm, thanking you for voting me as the specialist guy in my year. You guys are the best. And if you want any kind of makeouts or high fives as a thank you, you know where to find me.
But first, let's talk about the news a little bit.
Jessica started the morning with some coffee at the Perk when Sia dropped by to catch up. And then at the end of the day, Atton moped around on the beach only for Jessica to stop by and pester him a little.
But we all know what the big show was. The Dance! It started the way all things must, with people showing up. Specifically me and Alana, who were voted hottest couple in a poll of everyone speaking on radio right now. Ichabod and Celia won most confused couple because they actually tried to figure out what "glitterpunk" meant. And Eleanor stopped by to check in with Celia. Anders and Nathan won sparkliest couple because they actually went through the accessories, and so were probably covered in so much glitter that the CDC will call them a health hazard. And Eleanor had compliments for them, probably about how shiny they were.
Jono and Hannibal got oldest couple, but that's only because I don't have notes of any other teachers on a date. They also talked about using reptiles as fashion accessories, mostly becaus Jono was a snake until very recently. Isabelle and Flick get second hottest couple. They might have had more of a chance if the voting authority weren't so clearly biased, but you take what you get, right? They talked about her chances for the crown and yeah, of course she won.
I'm giving Face and Mara cutest couple that I'm not even sure is a couple, just because her fangirl glee is adorable. As for cutest couple that is definitely a couple, Barry and Elsa were a dog and polar bear. C'mon. Eleanor took pictures of them playing in glitter. Gwen and Edward get most glitter-conscious thanks to their efforts pointing out the glitter problem. And Sia and Four win most not-quite-there couple and even I'm saying just make out already.
Atton, Cade, and Sparkle win the man vs beast category easily since Sparkle was a little dog trying to cover Cade's feet in glitter, and Atton gave Sparkle some food. Raven showed up ready to party and get compliments on her dress from Rapunzel and Eleanor. And speaking of Eleanor, she and Joker win most tech savvy couple since they spent their entrance talking about the new phone he got her and, ahem, what might be on it. And I think we all know what I mean by that by this point.
Getting past the arrivals, there were pictures to be taken and food to be eaten and punch to probably be avoided since there was glitter in it. Cade and Jim made drinking plans. Ben and Warren talked about their impending fatherhoods. Alana and Warren bonded over wings. Um, having them, not like Buffalo wings or something. And Jaina gave Barry some food when he begged like a cute widdle puppy dog. Who's a good boy?
Out on the dance floor, Raven tried to get Ichabod to shake his booty. And off to the sides, the shadowy corners were pretty well lit, but whatever. Cade had his flask out when Jessica stopped by to catch up on his recent goings on. Travis and Raven talked about all the glitter. And Cade approached Ender to check in.
Over in the chaperone area, Irene and Hannibal had some wine. Karla showed off her maternity dress and Warren complained to her about the glitter. Hannibal asked her how she was doing. And Ender gave his compliments. And then Reno and Rikku realized they were old now. Sorry guys. Tough break.
And then things ended the way they had to: with the Homecoming Court. The winners:
Mara for the Freshmen.
Anders, Jalian, and Kira for the Sophomores.
Me and all the girls for the Juniors. Seriously, it was Gwen, Alana, Kathy, and Rapunzel.
And the King and Queen were Barry and Isabelle. We'll come back to that in a moment.
I celebrated the fact that I won with, again, all the girls. Which got Mara and Alana into a brief discussion. Ahem. Jalian and Anders were trying to figure out if the crowns gave any actual power, but Kira was kind enough to explain what they were. Isabelle and Barry celebrated even though he was, yes, still a dog. And Flick and Isabelle left to celebrate her win elsewhere.
And that's the end of Homecoming. You are dismissed, my subjects. Have a good day, all of thee!
