Fandom Radio, Sunday, May 25th
Hey, Fandom. It's me, Jessica, and I'd like to apologize to anyone I've annoyed over the past few days. I'd also like to say that I'd prefer to never have a crystal in my stomach again, because that was creepy. Anyway, we've got plenty to get through today, so let's hit it hard.
It was a Saturday during a holiday weekend, so you better believe that there was no school news.
The dorms were nice and busy, though!
Ichabod nervously washed his clothes by hand in his dorm room when Celia stopped in to help him with some plumbing problems and ask him on a date. She's becoming a very modern woman before our ears.
Edward perched on his window sill like he was trying to figure out the best way to scale the wall and, hey, if you're curious, I have some tips because I'm a well-rounded individual. Four wasn't so sure about the whole hanging around in windows thing, but they agreed that having egress plans was a good idea. And speaking of getting out, they made plans to go out drinking before Four got to explain what a Dauntless was.
I'm assuming it's someone who can't be Daunted, no matter how hard you try. Or at least is less daunted than most people.
Nathan wasn't very daunted in the fourth floor common room when it came to making waffles and Alana chilled in her room despite massive computer issues.
And wrapping things up, Joker was playing some video games when Eleanor came by to seduce him into what I'm going to call a stay-inside date.
But it's over in town where we really had some action.
Cara sprawled out in front of her window lik a cat to enjoy the day. Anakin and Rory took their kids to the park and he was acting so calm about the light danger the kids put themselves into that Rory actually accused him of being high.
And it looks like had a bit of a monster show yesterday some something called... huh, Venom, making a few appearances.
Seriously. Venom. It started when Flash was upset about the service at the Perk and then boom, big monster. Eliot saw that and had a surprisingly calm chat with Venom about the joys of not eating people. Later on in the afternoon, a new guy named Hatter also stopped in for tea, but he didn't turn into a monster.
Pinkie raged against her duck-loving new teal deer friend at the park. And Nikolai rode a totally natural adrenaline high at the Arms.
Kathy was the local parkour queen, running and jumping all around the warehouse district when a really annoyed Sparkle tracked her down to give her a newly sewn gi before Venom found her and fought her. Everyone walked away alive. Well, probably jumped away alive.
Eventually Venom made his way to the park, where Kitty was able to knock Flash out of the suit and let him take control of it again. So, happily ever after.
In non-giant-monster-who-wants-to-eat-us news, Jono had a big breakfast cooking party for everyone in his apartment. He and Hannibal planned their meal and thought fondly on the night before. Rinoa checked to make sure she'd get food and that the fact that Hannibal was wearing Jono's clothes meant what she thought it did. OG Raven checked in about how much she slept yesterday and also checked in about Jono and Hannibal, who checked what she wanted for breakfast.
Elphaba wasn't thrilled at the sheer number of people in the kitchen before playing with the cat and talking Jono out of opening his doors to oodles of animals. Yes, I said oodles. Raven didn't realize Elphaba was back in town, so she gave a big welcome and checked in about what she was doing now.
Hannibal checked in on how Elphaba was reacclimating and let her try some of the breakfast. Squall told her about his world's magic, and Karla tackle-hugged her before asking what she'd missed in her life.
Hannibal and Raven flirted some more while Squall complimented his cooking. Squall and Jono discussed how many more people could live in the apartment but Raven assured Squall that she wasn't moving in, Karla told him about Warren's molting, and Rinoa was surprised that Squall was being social.
Karla showed up chronologically before all of the other times I've mentioned her already and was thrown off by what she found around the apartment. She grilled Jono about his very recent goings-on and checked to make sure that there wasn't any specific Fandom strangeness behind it - spoiler, turns out there may have been. Hannibal welcomed her and they talked about how Karla missed Fandom. Raven updated Karla on the past few days and made certain promises of a group personal nature to her. And Rinoa made sure Jono gave her all of the gossip.
Out of that apartment and over in his warehouse, Barry had a bad word of a time with something scientific. And Kitty went to Clint's after her fight with Venom and was annoyed that he wasn't more upset that there was an alien monster on the island. And I raise an eyebrow at the word 'alien' and file it away for future use.
And that's all, everything back to normal. And now to figur out how to dispose of a crystal that was part of my body for a few days. So gross.
