Fandom Radio, Saturday Morning - 2/15

Loki: ...Alex. I believe we have a problem.

Alex: Does the problem involve all the stranger children I saw on the way here, because then yes, we definitely have a problem, lock the door.

*rustling and screeching of furniture being shoved around*

Loki: Do you think we can hide here all weekend?

Alex: ...maybe. Did you bring food?

Loki: … Perhaps if we flee immediately and then stock up, we will not be found?

Alex: Good plan. Let’s do it. And let’s get through this...mountain of notes as fast as possible--

Loki: Good morning and fair warning, peoples of Fandom!

Alex --Starting with school news, The Modern Workplace and You talked about love and, uh, seducing your coworkers. They paired up to blackmail each other and this sounds more and more like my dad's last workplace. Cheryl liked the flowers Pam sent her, and Pam asked Cheryl if she'd seen anyone weird in their house. If you have intruders maybe you should talk to the police. Just a thought. Chemistry class talked about their Valentine's plans, and then they learned science, and Coping with Change was all about looking for the bright side. Joker took a picture of the teacher, who asked him to be less distracting, and then the students paired up to discuss silver linings, which unlike certain other classes, hopefully did not involve blackmail. And Menu Planning had Ye Olde Movie Day.

Loki: Was it in black and white then?

Alex: No. Just traditional. As some of you may be aware, flowers were delivered in town today, although some of us didn't rate them, apparently. Hmph. Sparkle ran a special on--uh, toys. Special holiday toys. You know the ones--at 'Dites, where Eleanor came in to apologize for trying to kidnap him last weekend. Happens to the best of us. Liara was being paranoid at Book Haven, and Gert came in looking for a book. At Freedom Arms, Alec opened a shipment of pink plastic arrows, and ugh, do not get me started on the Cupid thing.
And Clint took Kitty out for a Valentine's Day dinner at Il Pollo. Sounds like things were more interesting at the mansion--is there just one?--where Derek was getting ready for...the notes say something about an orgy. An orgy with brownies? I think that's right. Stiles told him he would rather be there than at the dance, which I guess makes sense, I mean, an orgy with brownies, come on. Derek told Mike he couldn't have any brownies, so Mike rightfully told him he should have made more. If you're going to have an orgy you need to have enough brownies. Also, condoms. Jack thought it was super romantic, so maybe Jack has a weird idea of romance, and Jackson arrived late to the orgy after going to the dance first, which just goes to show his priorities are strange. And in possibly non-orgy news, Rinoa and Squall arrived at Jono's apartment after getting jerked around by Portalocity.

Loki: I must still wonder on the logistics of a brownie orgy. And if it is perhaps the cause for the child invasion.

Alex: It’s as good an explanation as any.

Loki: Also in town, we had the lovely, Student Council sponsored Dance for all to arrive and mingle at. And the notes even mention the glitter. Thank you, kind squirrel. Eleanor and Jessica discussed each other's dresses and then how the petting zoo was a most fortuitous suggestion by us all. Joker flirted with Celia. Joker. It sounds as though he ought to be in a costume, fighting or perputraiting crime. Cordelia and Jackson arrived together before Jackson ran away. Perhaps it was something she said?

Alex: Maybe he was late for the orgy.

Loki: One should never be late for an orgy. It's just rude. Joker then went on to compliment Karolina on her leggings. It's very insistent on leggings here. I am sure they were lovely, Karolina. Liara and Karolina were adorable in complimenting each other--no, I don't need a flag. Joker assured Liara that humans do not bite. Which I think is terribly misleading from my interactions with the people of Midgard. Ahem. Raleigh and Alana discussed clothing and how wonderful the petting zoo was. Joker continued his rounds with Isabelle, reminding me now of the esteemed Fandral. She went on to talk to Isaac about how Jackson had fled the dance due to Cordelia.

Alex: Maybe he was afraid they’d run out of brownies at the orgy.

Loki: It could always be both! Elsa and Jessica discussed modern fashions--stay away from anything that feels like plastic, I find--and her tendency toward hiding. Joker managed to get a blush out of Elsa with his flirtations despite his hat. It must be an interesting hat. Cecil surprised Elsa with his 'pretty butterfly dress'. Which does not surprise me, the clothing of men here tends towards bland. And last, Evan and Sholeh showed up together, with much complimenting between them.

Loki: There was a place for picture taking and for food. Cade dared Atton to dip a goat into the ketchup fountain. Which is a waste of ketchup. Goat is best with garlic, I feel. Joker explained to Eleanor that she must lure people out with dances, so she asked him first. Cade continued his ignorance of goats by offering money to anyone dipping them into the sauces, though Joker begged it not be ranch. Eleanor and Zeela tried to get him to raise the offered price. Beyond that, there was the petting zoo with a mysterious panda who had not originally been included. There was also the dance floor, though only Eleanor and Joker took advantage of that.

Loki: And then there were the dark corners to lurk in. Isabelle complimented Celia's dress despite the latter being concerned about the length of it. Eleanor then asked her for a dance, possibly to distract from the scandal of her dress. Isabelle called Flick predictable, but thanked him for the flowers. Kathy also thanked him for flowers. And none for me, Flick? I am wounded. Eleanor talked to Elsa about last weekend when she owned a diamond mine. I think I was in a coma for it. And last, our esteemed chaperones were there as well. James waited until the punch was spiked by Cade--surprising no one. He also attempted to flirt with Bo, who was more concerned with the state of the punch. Pam attempted to flirt with the female Jack before being let down gently.

Alex: Is that it? Are we done?

Loki: That's it.

Alex: Good. Run.

Loki: Stay safe from the horror of children, peoples of Fandom!
