Fandom Radio, Wednesday, November 13th
Hey, everyone. Just as a warning, I did not get enough sleep last night, so if I yawn at all, it's because of that and not because I don't find you all extremely interesting. But I do have coffee, so let's go ahead and fight off my tiredness... together.
"Top Chef: Fandom started a food safety section that will be going on for a few weeks. This week, Hannibal focused on dairy. Personally, I find that all dairy safety concerns can be met by having your own pet cow. But maybe that's just me. His students weren't so lucky, though, and had to test foods to see if they were still good.
Ethics introduced everyone's favorite lesson: robot kids. Everyone a single parent, our Dean of Students cackling with glee. That's probably a misrepresentation, but I think it adds ambiance, so I'm keeping it in. The students picked up and named the kids they'll be stuck with for the next week.
History That Totally Happened talked about Tessie, the Loch Ness Monster of Late Tahoe. Tessie is also a song about the Boston Red Sox. These two things are unrelated as far as I know. That's just random trivia. Anyway, the Danger Shop was done up like Lake Tahoe for students to explore.
Fighting for Fun and Self-Defense had another movie day since Herc was out. Unfortunately, rules prohibit me from telling you about the movie. I can tell you that we watched the movie. At least those of us who weren't making plans to have their own movie day outside of class did. Alana and Raleigh know what I'm talking about. Nudge nudge, wink wink.
In the library, William found animal puppets who were performing old sketches without any human handlers, you know, just animated by the power of the library and the depths of things I had no idea I was afraid of, and I may never sleep again. Seriously, that's terrifying.
Away from the school, but still dealing with the fallout of Ethics, Flick and his droid baby, Mud, watched some TV in the fifth floor common room.
Then in town, Éponine tried putting her cat to work at the post office, Bay tried giving away tacos at Luke's before the staff went taco-crazy, and Tamsin had a talk with Ralph about feelings at the Trooper Station.
Okay, my notes say 'gut feelings.' But what are gut feelings other than feelings... from the gut? By definition, they are nothing else but that. QED.
And over at Caritas, Kitty made hot chocolate a special. Clint came in for some and they ended up making plans for Thanksgiving.
See? Not one yawn. Thanks for helping me get through this, Fandom. I owe you one.
