Fandom Radio, Sunday, September 29th
Hey everyone. This is Jessica Drew with the news of the day. That would be yesterday, I'm not psychic.
Everything was quiet in the halls of the school and dorms.
Over in town, Topher gave the repaired and upgraded toy boats back to the kid from last week at Stark's. Tiny was freaked out by Bo's elf salt and pepper shakers at the Devil's Nest.
The specials at the Arms were ready for romance, while Doctor Girlfriend - there's a name - was ready for a place to stay on her first day in town.
And at Book Haven, Rosalind took inventory and cleaned up as she got the shop back into shape. And then Jono stopped in to reminisce on the good old days... once she remembered him.
Rounding things out with the biggest section of notes, last night was 3 Minute Dates at Caritas, hosted by Doctor Doom. For some reason. Actually, my notes say that it was a robot hosting, which makes sense because I know for a fact that he was also on dates and nothing makes sense to me anymore. Anyway, the bar had plenty of people drinking some courage before enduring five rounds of dating fun.
Afterwards, people stuck around to drink away regrets, drink to their survival, or, you know, just talk to people. Both Mike and Stiles were surprised that Stiles participated. Even more surprising was that Stiles did okay for himself. Derek tried to get Stiles to stop drinking, but Stiles refused, so Derek went to talk to Jess - the teacher, not me - about her class and how great the radio squirrels are. They all thank you for that, Big D. That's not my name for you, one of the squirrels suggested it.
Kitty checked in with Stiles, who isn't actually a fan of dating as a personal concept. Flick and Kathy ended up making emergency plans for getting each other home if one of them got too drunk tonight. Kathy and Theo formed a wallflower club and developed a secret handshake for it. I'd show you the handshake, but the cursed limitations of radio force me to keep it a secret.
Allie got a drink and some harassment from Navaan, who is a very extroverted person on the subject of personal relations, shall we say. Allie, on the other hand, isn't. Kathy explained soda brand supremacy to Raleigh. And Maddie and I talked about normal dating and how weird it is in this day and age with the kids and the internets and such. We were whatever the opposite of a curmudgeon yelling at people to get off his lawn is. A hipster holding a lawn party? Something like that.
Anyway, that's it and I am out of here for today. I'll talk to you again next week. And if there's anything you really DO NOT want me to say when your parents are here next Sunday, give me a head's up, okay?
