Fandom Radio- Thursday, June 13
Hey, Fandom. It's Thursday, it's Jaye, and in case you needed reminding, yes there are still a bunch of teenagers living in bouncy castles. Hopefully that made the day a light brighter for of non-teens.
Anyway...
Over at the school, Working the Long Con got a movie day, which is a kind of slacking I totally approve of, and Surf and Turf did some Blessing of the Waters thing, which meant getting a stick out of the water. Is this a religious thing? Because it sounds like a religious thing. That class about knowing your city went to stop crimes in a Danger Shopped Fandom and then reported back. I wonder if anyone fought firebreathing vegetables. Is that considered a crime? And then there was Hunting class, where they talked about wendigos and werewolves and talked about what they'd do if their best friend was turned into a werewolf. The squirrel here is talking waxing packages, but my first thought was Nair in their shampoo. And shower gel.
ALso the housekeeping and cooking books were taunting Sholeh in the library, so that probably means something, and Ulrik brought sushi. Why does no one bring me sushi, I ask.
*sound of a walnut hitting a forehead*
Thanks, squirrel. That's totally the same thing. At the bouncy castles, Gert whose name is still Gert went to the main campfire with a dinosaur and hot dogs. Jessica also came by, where Gert offered both bug spray and tips for being on the lam. I have a feeling I might need that second thing someday. Just saying, eventually I'm going to hit that third strike.
In town, Victor was glad to be at work because it wasn't a bouncy castle. I think he has skewed priorities. At Dite's, Emma was offering a discount for Pride, which brought in Kaidan, who was promised discretion by Emma, but let's face it, the squirrels and the NSA are both watching you, so. Also April apparently bought a bunch of weird sex toys, but there was no gremlin bite to blame there. Hey, sometimes you're just into weird sex toys.
At Luke's, Kenzi was serving all the pies, which feels like a weird segue from sex toys, but here we are.
Eponine came in for some, and also conversation about mail that had been gnawed on-
*chittering*
-Got it, wasn't you, and what dinosaurs are. Ask Gert. And finally, Emily brooded over texts at the beach. Sounds like a good plan for a Wednesday night.
Till next week!
