Fandom Radio, Wednesday, April 24th
Good morning, everyone. I almost stayed in Hawaii today, but I figured you'd all miss me too much if I wasn't here.
*chittering*
And yes, Kitty had to go to work yesterday. But my thing's still true.
Anyway, up at the school, it's finals week. The Public Speaking students had to deliver a ten minute instructional speech to be given to new folks in Fandom, many of which, I'm sure, involved the phrase "dungeon of crazy rooms." In There Will Be Cake, the students had to prepare a two-course meal from scratch, and in Industrial Arts it was finally time for the battlebots to fight. People made last-minute tweaks and then sent their bots into an arena to destroy each other. That actually sounds pretty fun, I have to admit.
The lacrosse club played one last game against a strong Danger Shop-simulated team, and in the dorms, Gertrude made the terrible mistake of reading comments on a news site. Aww, even I know not to do that, and I'm not particularly computer savvy. Bay managed to save Gertrude from herself, and asked her to go with her on a trip home to see a play her family's doing.
In town, there was a lot of gremlin damage at the Arms Hotel that Mary had to deal with, while Eponine had to figure out what to do with the giant rubber duck in the way at the post office. There are so many potential answers to that problem, I don't even know where to start. Victor was looking at Portalocity and planning a trip to Los Angeles at Stark Industries, and at Caritas, Kitty was rocking out the tropical drinks in tribute to Hawaii, which is an awesome place and everyone should go there. Allie talked to Kitty about night classes and... alien smuggling rings, okay, and Dean got to explain to Kitty that he and Priestly are different people.
Is that everything? I think that's everything, which is my cue to go back to bed. Have a safe week, folks.
