Fandom Radio, Wednesday, March 20th

I've been pelted by nuts, I'm surrounded by deer, and I'm barely fluent in English let alone Japanese. I'm gonna start by assuming you're all having a better morning than I am.

At the school, the Public Speaking class got dressed up and practiced speaking on television with the whole squirrel thing as their topic. You know, I'm really glad we do the news over the radio so I don't have to worry about looking presentable on these mornings. Jace was the press secretary of the day, and got asked questions about squirrels and glitter. In Industrial Arts, the students learned about soldiering--wait, I think that should be soldering, close enough--and then worked on their battlebots, and in There Will Be Cake, Bond was out sick - ugh, I know how that feels - so the students had a chance to try new recipes while not setting anything on fire. Unless the recipe called for it, I assume.

In the dorms, Jackson emailed everyone to cancel lacrosse while Emily used her laptop to aimlessly surf the web, and Victor and Gert stopped by to visit Topher and Bay, respectively, and... okay, I think this says Topher is a gopher now and Gert is a... that's not 'frog'--oh, chameleon. Wait, what? Oh, they turned into animals, because that's a thing that happens here that everyone just lives with. Right. God, this place.

In town, Éponine was teaching the teal deer at the post office how to be more sneaky. You guys aren't doing too badly, I've got to say. And you're not throwing glitter around, so I can't complain. Victor was looking through some of the extra bits and parts at Stark Industries while the Japanese squirrels ate the persimmons that were all around. That's not very stealthy at all, you know. At Caritas, Kitty was prepared for the squirrels to shake her down for rum, but thankfully she only had to deal with one squirrel singing protest songs--I'm going to pretend I'm reading that wrong and just move on--and Mike agreed with Kitty that at least the zombies weren't singing, and ended up talking about Mike's old career as a dancer. I'm guessing not ballet, but that's what I'm picturing now anyway. Sorry Mike.

That looks like everything I've got that's even vaguely decipherable, so if you did something awesome and it didn't get mentioned, try being loud about it so the Japanese squirrels can translate better or something. Now I've just got to figure out how to get out of here without going past the squirrels again. This is where it'd be really useful to be able to--

*silence*

*shrill hawk call*

*shrill, annoyed hawk call*

*clattering of teal deer hooves until--click!*

Over at MCA #10, there was a long silence when radio ended, followed by an "Of course that happened," followed by Kitty deciding she should probably put real clothes on and go to the radio station.
