Fandom Radio- Thursday, February 28
Kitty: Uh, hi, Fandom and Fandom-on-vacation. This is Kitty Pryde, who got dragged out here by squirrels super early because obviously I needed some kind of payback for sleeping in and being nice and comfy while my boyfriend was doing this yesterday. Well I'm sorry, it's vacation.
Anyway, no idea where your regular girl is, but apparently we're broadcasting from breakfast aboard the Hydra today!
Over in Fandom, Priestly was confused about the day at Cafe Luke's. I am too, but that's what happens when you're on an iterary you have no control over, I think.
Aaaand I'm pretty sure other stuff happened in town, but there's probably one lone squirrel still there who wandered the streets one time and called it a day. Sorry if I just ruined things for you, lone squirrel.
And here on spring break, the day started with people hanging out before departure, where apparently no one had to rush aboard this morning! Congratulations! Unless the squirrels just didn't catch you, in which case, congratulations on being sneaky! Natalie tried to have a civil conversation with Alec over breakfast, but it turned into mild sniping about archery. Can it be a general rule that we don't argue about weaponry? It just never leads anywhere good. And once we set to sea, Jaye was talking in her sleep, or something? and the sun decks were pretty popular, because they are fantastic, and I want one. Kate Daniels wondered how Cade lost his shirt already, and Billy helped Topher recover from a little accident with an umbrella. Happens to everyone.
On shore, Gert and I both checked out some ruins, Natalie got some snorkeling time in, and some other people got in some time swimming and sunbathing. Jaina and Kaidan talked about putting a tracker on Cade- not sure that's legal, guys- and then got to talking about their jobs, and over at the restaurant, Rory caught up with her favorite teacher Josh, and made him feel old by being all married.
In the evening, we got to Göcek. On the boats, Josh got dinner without anyone drowning and Bucky finally figured out he's on a cruise. Attaboy, Bucky. On shore, Adivar Bar was where everyone went, and where Natalie called Stiles and his flannel cute. Which feels really weird to read off to everyone, I have to say.
Jaye: HEY! YOU! ON THE BOAT!
Kitty: ...Breaking news, the regular radio girl is drifting over there in a lifeboat with what looks to be a small puppy. Where did the puppy come from? Do we even have lifeboats on this thing?
Jaye: CAN I MAYBE GET A HAND?
Kitty: WHY ARE YOU IN A LIFEBOAT?
Jaye: ...A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME TO! YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
Kitty: You heard the lady, listening audience. She'll be back next week. Assuming there are no more lifeboats involved.
