Fandom Radio, Wednesday, February 27th

Aww, come on. We're on vacation, you couldn't let me sleep in for ten more minutes? How are you even working this? No, wait, you know what? I don't think I want to know. It's probably better for my sanity that way.

Back in town, Mary was trying to keep caviar out of the mashed potatoes at the Arms Hotel and Éponine was hard at work at the post office when she wasn't reading romance novels.

Meanwhile, I have to admit that if you're not on the school trip with everyone, you're kind of missing out, because it really is nice. We started out heading towards Manastir Bay, and Cade just barely made it back before we took off. I'm not sure if we'd really leave anyone behind, but it's probably better to play it safe. Sarah, Maddie, and Ryan all took their time enjoying breakfast before we headed out to sea, where Jaye got woken up earlier than she wanted. Gee, someone who knows exactly how I feel right now. Out on their ship's sun deck, Gert and Bay talked about all the plans they have that are more exciting than just sitting around and getting tan. In their room, Victor and Olive talked about the fish she got to see, and about how nice it is to not have the risk of roommates walking in, to interrupt nothing but fascinating conversations I'm sure. And during lunch, Peter and Anakin talked about the consequences of getting eaten by a kraken. I think part of chaperoning is preventing that from happening, but maybe I'm doing it wrong.

When we got to Manastir Bay, people took off to go swimming, snorkeling, and hiking, and there was plenty of beach to check out too. Karolina and Cade talked about how much better Turkey is than Fandom this time of year, and Atton teased Sia about her inability to relax and how she should just enjoy their vacation, which I totally agree with. Schools have breaks for a reason, right?

In the evening, we ended up docked in Bedri Rahmi Bay. Sia stayed on her boat for dinner while Hanna caught up on fashion magazines in her ship's saloon. In the restaurant on shore, Jack and Jaina talked about the kinds of places they'd traveled before and then Jack mentioned how he's waiting for something to go wrong, so if something does go wrong, I guess we can blame him. There were some ruins to check out, and a painting of a fish that caught Emily's attention, but most folks went for the stargazing with bonus s'mores because hey, free sugar. Peter was messaging people on his phone instead of, you know, looking up at the sky, and Natalie taunted him until he explained what he was dealing with. Bay and Emily appreciated the stars and how small they felt compared to them, and okay, if someone attacks us on the trip, you might be able to blame me and Kitty, but I'm trying to think positively, I swear. Topher asked Jessica about her boyfriend search, and then they talked about Loki - hopefully not as boyfriend material - and snarked at each other.

And then everyone took their s'more laden-selves to bed, which is exactly where I'm going back to, and no one better try to stop me. Stay safe, everyone.
