Fandom Radio, Wednesday, February 20th

Good morning to everyone who's managed to be awake at this hour. Are we really less than a week away from spring break? And is it weird that I'm kind of looking forward to the trip? What can I say, I'm good at boats.

*chittering*

Yeah, yeah, I'm getting on with it. There'd better not be anything nauseating in these notes this week, or you're going to be on your own.

At the school, the Public Speaking class got to hear a little about how a State of the Union is made, and then got to work on their people skills by pretending to be obnoxious customers and the workers who weren't allowed to strangle them. Then, Hanna and Richie got to answer questions about conversation hearts and glitter. I will never stop wondering about some of the things that go through your minds, I swear. The Industrial Arts class continued their education in car ownership by going through basic maintenance on some cars, and finding what was wrong with them, and in There Will Be Cake, there was no cake, just steak and potatoes. Just when I didn't think talking about that class could make me more hungry, geez...

In the dorms, Jackson cancelled the lacrosse team's practice, and Jim got an upsetting letter from his mother. I don't know why, but that seems especially unfair. In town, April and Jack Priest watched a bad horror movie at April's place, and talked about dead people, like one does when watching people get killed horribly on one's television. At the post office, it was Éponine's first day, and she spent it looking over manuals and trying to get used to the modern stuff, and Victor spent his time at Stark Industries studying up on Turkey to prepare for spring break. Some of you better be preparing your Turkish pickup lines, or I'm going to be disappointed. At Caritas, Kitty had to deal with the stage being covered in flowers - hey, that's what I could do with all those extra random roses I got - and she and Spider-Woman talked about how they hope the next thing to invade the island is something they can punch. If you add "or shoot" in there, you've got my vote.

It looks like that's all I've got for you guys this morning. Take care of yourselves, and pack lightly.
