Ugh, is it really time for this again? There's not even that many notes here... but I see you've already turned everything on for me anyway. Thanks for that, squirrels. *rustling* Okay folks, this is Clint Barton, here with all the news for your early morning.
At the school, the Public Speaking class learned about the aspects of persuasive speech, and had to find a political speech they thought was compelling. Maddie and Jessica were the press secretaries of the week, and got asked questions about candy, music, and gremlins. In Industrial Arts, the students learned how to finish woodworking projects, and then did just that, putting the last touches on everything they've been working on while checking in with Kaidan about their robot teams. If anyone in this class ends up becoming an evil robot overlord in the future, we'll know who to blame for encouraging them at the start. Finally, in There Will Be Cake, the students had to make their own popcorn before watching a movie about Julia Child.
Over in the dorms, Karolina celebrated her own belated birthday with vegan cupcakes. Really? You don't think a birthday calls for some real sugar? Anyway, Gert came by and gifted her with a colorful dress as a late birthday present, and Liara had to be convinced to try one of the cupcakes. I don't blame you one bit. Jim also stopped by to tease Karolina about her age, and to try to get a cupcake out of her for whatever tastebud-abusing reason he had.
In town, apparently, there's a new rock. Boy, I'm glad I was pulled out of bed this morning. At J,GoB, Yeul was people-watching when Jack Frost came by, and they talked about him adjusting to people being able to see him over cookies. In the park, Stiles ran the lacrosse club practice, which involved a lot of sitting on benches drinking hot cocoa, although some people still practiced. At the Perk, Leda was drinking a double espresso with Red Bull, which actually sounds worse than vegan cupcakes, and at Caritas, Kitty was, well, showing off that the weekend is over and she's back to normal, which I appreciated very much.
Okay, that's everything that was here. Can I go back to bed now? *chittering* Yes, I know, I'll be back next week, don't worry.
