Please tell me you have a space heater or something in here so I won't freeze while I'm doing this. *chittering* Yeah, I'm used to cold weather, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Maybe I will take some of that rum, just this once.
All right, let's see what we've got here so I can go back to being under the covers. At the school, the Public Speaking class talked about inaugural addresses, and the students got to make a speech about the last twenty years of their world's history, complete with a visual aid, 'cause those are useful for people who tend to fall asleep at boring speeches. Not that I know anyone like that or anything. Lucrezia was this week's press secretary, and got to answer questions about the weather, time zones, and God, among other things. Natalie--hey, Natalie!--also had a red fox with her that's apparently Peter, and let Josh know that was why Peter wasn't in class. The Industrial Arts class was without a teacher, so Topher took it upon himself to find blueprints for everyone to make things out of wood. Topher was trying to make a coaster for Jessica, which Cade questioned him about, and then everyone got with their partners to discuss how to not make their battlebots explode, or something. In There Will Be Cake, the students somehow made pizza without setting off a siren call that attracted my dog to their classroom, and in the Danger Shop after classes, the Lacrosse Club had its first meeting of the semester. After everyone got there, Jackson introduced himself and made everyone else do the same, and then they practiced passing the ball, with varied levels of success.
In the dorms, Sholeh took over one of the common rooms and baked herself some birthday brownies. Aren't you supposed to make other people do that for you? Anyway, Evan was lured in by the smell of the baking, and he and Sholeh discussed what he should do for his birthday later in the week--they settled on ice cream, a wise choice--and the fun of animal transformations. Yeul and Sholeh also talked about their birthdays, even though Yeul doesn't know when hers is. I say that just means you get to pick whatever day you want. Evan and Yeul talked about Evan not being able to go home for his birthday, but Yeul pointed out that at least he'll have an ice cream date with Sholeh. Ulrik was glad Sholeh was sharing the brownies, and Evan planned with Ulrik to make sure Sholeh wouldn't have to celebrate her own birthday next year. Sholeh shared a brownie with Anakin before they'd even really introduced themselves, and they talked about their differing opinions on books, while Evan was more interested about Anakin being from space. That does sound more interesting, to be honest. Minako gave Sholeh a lesson in Japanese names and writing in exchange for her brownie, and Evan talked to Minako about the cafeteria food and how it's, well, cafeteria food. Also, at the salle, Po and Yeul met up to do their Ethics assignment of doing stuff their partner does, and they ended up practicing with throwing knives and discussing Po's royalty, and Yeul's Guardian.
Then, in town, Karla had warm comfort food as the special at Luke's, which was probably a wise idea, and Victor had Surreal shadowing him at Stark Industries for their Ethics thing. *chittering* Assignment, whatever, they know what I mean. The best bartender at Caritas wasn't having a great day with not breaking things - again? - so Stiles ordered a simple beer, and he and Kitty talked about how well things have been going on the island lately--shh, don't jinx it--and about what's been going on with Stiles and Derek, which hopefully amounted to a great deal of "nothing" if Stiles and everyone else is smart.
That looks like everything, so I'm going back to bed. If this place goes wonky due to too much complacence, then stay safe.
