Fandom Radio [Friday, December 14, 2012]
Good morning and welcome to the very last day of classes this year! Are you as excited about that as I am?
...and where did that pine tree just come from?
Regardless, it's now time to report what you did yesterday! In classes, How Not To Do Things had an examination--well, yes, it's the end of the semester--but it seemed to come as a shock to the students and Mr. Katt in particular. Wild Roving had a practical examination where they explored a city, and Yakko's World had a...very odd final. Let's just leave it at that, shall we? Drama class performed their play at the Boards--more on that later--and Mr. Sabahnur had two puppies in the library with him. I do hope neither one chewed on the books.
Mr. Skywalker was visited by Miss Solo and teased about how ridiculously he behaved last week when he was in black and white, and lacrosse played a game in the Danger Shop, and was relatively unhindered by the mistletoe.
In the dormitories, Princess Marasiah couldn't exactly say the same thing, and was very vehement about refusing the mistletoes' suggestions, but then Mr. Rand came by and was equally vehement, and that led to bruised feelings. Later that evening, Miss Drew was in the fifth floor common room--the broken television has been replaced if you were worried!--and was dealing with the mistletoe herself. Princess Marasiah came in and told Miss Drew that her roommate is an idiot, so Mr. Rand, you are still out of favour. Perhaps a bouquet of non-talking flowers might be in order? Miss Drew and Miss Penderghast talked about what they would do if they became sentient plants and if that happens now I'm going to be so very annoyed and then Miss Penderghast gave Princess Marasiah an explanation about Christmas that was completely devoid of mentioning the Christ child. I'm very disappointed, Olive.
And in town, Miss Keller was yelling at the mistletoe and managed to insult all of the Perk's staff at the same time. Mr. Lane wondered if she was a little...crazy...until he heard the mistletoe talk too, and Miss Keller told Mr. Lane that she had no problems kissing bartenders. I believe that was a hint. Mr. Blum was put out by the mistletoe telling him to kiss Miss Keller because he doesn't like kissing girls. Well, not before you're engaged, anyway, right? It's just not really proper. Mr. Barton wondered what the mistletoe was really up to.
The drama class held our final at the Boards yesterday! Ms. Dean and Mr. Sparkle complained before the performance that there was enough to be anxious about without the mistletoe helping matters. Then we performed a pageant before the audience and no one caught fire and we all learned a little bit about Christmas. Maybe Princess Marasiah should have come to learn! And then...oh dear, I can barely read this note because of all the glitter on it. Mr. Sparkle and Mr. Lightwood kissed because of the mistletoe and some of the squirrels have quite a lot of glitter flags out now. They're being very smug at Team Mr. Rand-and-Princess-Marasiah.
Finally, Mr. Darling had a lot of red and green to unpack at his store, and Miss [Kenzi's last name] was offering drinks in celebration for the end of the semester at Caritas. Miss Pryde stopped in to assure Miss [Kenzi's last name] that she wasn't as stupid normally as she'd been last week, and Miss [Kenzi's last name] assured her in reply that she wasn't an evil communist.
I'm glad that's settled! Have a good weekend everyone! Watch out for the trees.
