In classes, Wild Roving talked about not getting mugged. What's "mugged"?

Oh my goodness! Don't get mugged! Mr. Warner's class learned about Mars yesterday, which was actually interesting and educational. I was as surprised as the rest of you. We were given our parts in Drama class--I'm to be Alice!--and Mr...Sparkle is excited to play a woman.
*long pause*
All right! How Not to Do Things talked about their dream jobs. I suppose if they're only dreaming, it's all right, though I think you have to work at a job.
The books were racing in the library--quietly, I hope--and Miss Yeul talked with Mr. Sabahnur about how his last school tried to kill him. The whole building?
...It probably says something bad that I think that's a reasonable thing to ask now. Miss Sholeh payed a visit as well and they discussed Mr. Kant--new student?--and ethical dilemmas. Mr. Wittemore wasn't feeling well--feel better soon, Mr. Wittemore!--and so lacrosse had a movie day, and Mr. Skywalker was visited by Miss Karla, who enquired after his family, as is only polite.
All was quiet in the dormitories today, but in town, Mr. Darling was dancing through the store with the name I won't say, Miss Bishop was playing on her phone at the surf shop, and Miss Bennet arrived in town to enquire about a job that Mr. Starsmore hadn't actually advertised for. How awkward!
Finally Dr. Navaan arrived at the clinic and offered to fight Miss Sullivan for the clinic. That's...odd.
