Fandom Radio- Wednesday, August 1

Welcome back to reality, Fandom. Where do I put in a request for that to never happen again? Or ooh, even better, can we just burn down detention? Not that I'm trying to incite anything but if it happens, I'm just saying, I wouldn't be sorry. Hypothetically.

Oh hey, school notes.

SCHOOL

In Heroes and Villains, the students took a test to find out where they fit in the good/evil scale and got cupcakes based on where they scored. I want a cupcake. Can we start bribing broadcasters so we don't say anything mean about you? I'd like that to start happening. Seven Deadly Sins covered that old favorite, lust, and discussed whether it's really a sin and all. Modern Technology worked on computer skills by playing online games. That's what I did in my office. I wasn't just playing solitaire, I was practicing my mouse skills. And finally in Sex Ed, Ronan... was gremlin-bit for his condom lecture. He got over it, though, and they had a birth control discussion anyway, even though if that's not a reason to go hide in your office till class is over, nothing is.

And in her office, Kennedy spent most of her day staring off into space. I think we're all legally required to do that for the next few days, at least. We have excuses, might as well use 'em.

DORMS

In the gardens, Cassidy was pulling weeds when Shira found her with her hands all bleeding. Um, YOU ARE GARDENING WRONG. Matt was coping with books- nerd- and Stannis just took out his frustrations by stabbing practice dummies. Him I will not insult.

In the third floor common room, Terry was watching the Olympics, and Fawn came by to see what he was watching. The only thing people will have on for the next two weeks. And then it's Shark Week. Mark your calendars.

TOWN

Victor was at Stark's playing with his own code, which the squirrels insist isn't dirty but I don't think they know how it really sounds. Bruce Banner was zoning at Wellspring Arms- told you we had the excuse to do that. Mary was cranky at the Arms, Frank was hanging out at Turtle and Canary, Sam was fixing skateboards at Guilty as Charged, and Kenzi took Arietty pet-shopping.

That all seems pretty normal so let's just assume there was a lot of staring into space.

Stark had an oversized cupcake of doom at JGOB, which I hope isn't actual doom because we need at least a couple weeks between things that bring doom. Kate and Kennedy hung out in the graveyard, since I guess that's what the crazy kids are doing these days, and Emma ran a class at the community center on mental shielding. Not that anyone here might need that or anything.

Over at Caritas, Kitty kept the speakeasy theme going by giving free drinks if you knew the password. Wait, there was a speakeasy and I missed it? Atton was there to teach Sia how to drink, which I don't think you can teach. You don't learn anything until you fall over in public. That's just the way it goes. Clint knew the password so he got a drink and a promise from Kitty not to be stubborn, Britta got away with saying "the password" and then tried to pass on the vegetarianism, and Kenzi asked for all the vodka and told Kitty about needing to get shrimp for Sunshine. Which is one of those sentences that's so surreal I don't even want context.

And that's everything I have. I'm going to go home and finish destroying everything pink in my wardrobe.
