Oh my god, it isn't the fourth anymore, put the sparklers away!
*excited chittering*
Yes, I'm sure they were ridiculously cheap. There's a reason for that! This is not the time for them! Put them away!
Um, hi guys! This is Chloe Sullivan, with all your post-holiday news that hasn't accidentally been set on fire. I swear, if I get singed a single time, all the rum in here is going to magically disappear.
Since Fandom High doesn't recognize the Fourth of July as a holiday--it makes sense when you think about all the non-Americans we have here--there was a lot going on at the school yesterday. Summer Games of Harmony, a class based on the Olympics, was led by Pinkie Pie. The students had to introduce themselves and pick countries to represent, and then they completed a long jump into the ocean, which Hanna won on behalf of Italy. After class, Cassidy talked to Pinkie Pie, to offer to be her TA for the class. The Espionage students learned how Dojima became a spy, before explaining why they're all taking the class, Kennedy explained what Kicking Ass class is all about before learning about the students' powers and abilities, and Samus and Deadpool had the For Hire students sell themselves like they were trying to get a job. I assume that means verbally selling themselves... yeah, that doesn't sound less dirty, actually.
It looks like everyone in the dorms was hiding from the squirrels, or the heat since it's not exactly pleasant out there. In town, Jack Priest was, and I quote, "at home, beating the crap out of a punching bag, rawr." I think a squirrel's got a cruuush. Lion-o, in appropriate patriotic holiday fashion, was reading the Declaration of Independence at Cafe Luke's, and Cara decided to try to beat the heat at the beach. Kaidan was busy flirting with the barista at the Perk when Dean came in, and he ended up explaining the 4th of July to Kaidan before they talked about how weird it is to not be in their own time on the island. And at Caritas, Jaye was enjoying some patriotic-themed drinks when Coulson came in, and after talking about the silly names the drink specials had, he somehow ended up helping Jaye brainstorm a drinking game to be held during the Olympics. That is definitely going to end in tears. Or possibly projectile vomiting.
Those are all the notes I got, so I'm going to get out of here before the squirrels find more fireworks to set off. See you guys next week!
