Fandom Radio, Saturday, May 19th

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO FANDOM! It's official! I, Yakko Warner, am your Saturday morning cartoon this summer! So gather round your radios and I'll tell you all a story. I call it, 'What Happened Yesterday.'

SCHOOL

In the library, where stories live when they're boring and not animated, Billy was reading a book that held up signs saying 'The movie is better!' and 'The movie is shorter!' That's what they mean by sign language, right? Topher dropped by to talk about the not-robotic simian librarian and eat cupcakes. Just don't get frosting on the words, people living in yesterday!

Practical Philosophy tried to convince people that wherever they go, whatever they do, Ender would be right there waiting for them OR ELSE! He also asked if school was good or if everyone should just take a Paid Vacation, and, ugh, Britta votes for the worst option. Of course. After class, Tara mugged Ender because she's a hazard.

And now that my listeners who listened to adult contemporary in the late 80's and early 90's have had a few laughs, let's move on.

Art Therapy was about codependent relationships with clay. By the time they got started, the students really needed that clay and talked about being separated from it afterwards.

My bestest buddy in the school, Lord BFF Tyrion McYakkosbestfriend, ditched Life at Court, probably to make me a friendship bracelet. Anyway, Blysse and Surreal taught about dancing around maypoles, which I'm not sure I'm even allowed to say. How bad are the station censors? Surreal wrapped things up by showing off a fire dance, which would be more impressive if she could have gotten the flames to tango.

Wrapping up the classes, Conflict Management offered up the mystery of the missing cookie and made the students investigate who stole it.

And finally, Principal Winchester was in her office not drinking, which sounds like an invitation for me to introduce myself!

DORMS

Up on the fourth floor, Peeta had coffee and donuts, which he shared with Fawn, who shared a touching story about eating donuts as a child. It involved talking about poison. Oh, parents.

TOWN

Nast Sporting Goods played host to some games. Not sports. Video games, via K-Mart. Hope floated toward the magazine rack at Turtle & Canary. April moved into her new apartment in the building I called dibs on and I'll do it again: DIBS!.

Apparently the Girl Scouts were recruiting because there were brownies in town! Although I think it's mean for our cryptozoology professor to think that little girls are appropriate topics for that class. Kenzi used her brownie to play with the mannequins at Dite's and Toby's helped out in the kitchen at Goodvalor's.

Over at Stark's, Ben heard about a Repeat Offender and hoped the courts would Have Mercy, but he Should've Known Better. But he knew Ben would always Hold On to the Nights Now and Forever.

Jono came back from a trip to New York and settled in at The Perk. April treated the barista with no respect and probably didn't tip her before she and Jono made introductions. Hayley stopped over to talk to Jono and take a poor stab at comedy. Which reminds me, who does a pharaoh call when he's sad? HIS MUMMY! *instant rimshot*

Gabrielle shared a pie with the nurses she bored by talking too much at the Clinic and Tiny played Angry Birds at the Devil's Nest.

And that's all the stories I have for you this week. But just remember, like Harpo said, there ain't nothing gonna take this heart away.
