Fandom Radio- Wednesday, March 28
Hey, so know what sucks? Being sick on your birthday. Know what sucks more? Feeling totally fine the next morning.
In related news, I say you all owe me drinks.
SCHOOL
Fugitivity class talked about trusting people. I feel like there was a missed opportunity here, with this being a discussion class and not just sitting around watching America's Most Wanted. That'd really teach 'em. Polar Opposites tackled the age old debate: cats vs. dogs. I prefer sea monkeys. You don't have to clean up after a sea monkey. And Sex Ed got a fact sheet on sexual harassment and how they don't have to take it, and then got to leave.
I should start doing that with my class. "Here, have an IMDb printout of the movie reviews," and then we can all go home.
DORMS
Look at you guys, doing things today-!
*chittering*
-yesterday!
Percy ate cold fries in his room, and somehow that and Luke calling him a pig led to them being prom dates. Obviously they are both the romantic type.
In the lobby, Quinn was selling tickets to prom in the lobby and promoting herself for prom queen. Ohhh, she's one of those. Bruce came by to buy tickets and they ended up talking about plans post-graduation, and Kenzi wanted to tease about the prom queen thing, so Quinn decided she was just jealous. I don't think you can call it jealousy unless you win.
Ender was watching a documentary in the common room. Which is boring enough right there until I finish in telling you it was about insect behavior. Someone introduce that boy to real television. Good thing there were a lot of people around. Gabrielle told him about battles back home. See, more interesting than insects. Karla and Gabrielle talked about how Gabrielle's all about the killing now, or something. I almost died of plague yesterday, details are unnecessary. Tara was kind of freaked by the documentary, so therefore Tara had the correct reaction, and she and Gabrielle decided 'interesting' equals 'weird.' Which is why you can use 'interesting' as a descriptive term when describing this place to your parents. Remember that come graduation invite time, folks. Tara did tell Ender she's not scared off by the insect show, though, and then talked about bugs and Wiccanism. That's... 'interesting.' Karla teased Tara about sacrificing a goat to get into college. I went to Brown. I would not be surprised if some of those people actually did that. Karla and Ender caught up on Ben's post-graduation plans, and Alice had a magazine.
I could have ended on any one of those other notes, I just chose not to.
TOWN
At Wellspring Arms, Bruce Banner was looking for something to explain Fandom. Scientifically.
*Insert one full minute of laughing. Squirrels too*
Oh my god, that made my cry. Good one, Bruce. Mary was getting prank calls about invading bunnies at the Arms. Are you sure that was a prank? Because that happened once. Tino was at Caritas getting ready for prom, leaving Kitty in the dark as to why. Thattaboy. And Hayley was cheerful at Cafe Luke's, which probably had something to do with Raven and hot lesbi-
*more chittery laughing*
You think you're so funny. Just for that, I'm going to let the listening audience figure out what the rest of that story was.
...Which doesn't punish you at all, does it? Huh. Fine, then I'll just steal some rum. Later, Fandom!
