Fandom Radio, Thursday, March 8

Good morning, folks! The squirrels have already started drinking, which makes me think it's time to get this show on the road while I can still get them to decipher their writing if I need to.

At the school, the What Was the School Board Thinking class had Fandom Awards, complete with the students having to get dressed up, walk the red carpet, and accept what I can only assume were very special awards. Jamie "interviewed" Raven when she came down the red carpet, and then quickly moved onto Dave, who seems like he was willing to play along with the whole thing. Raven complimented Rilla on her dress, but Rilla said she thought she looked like a superhero. Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Some of those outfits are ridiculously hot.

In Mad Kings and Queens, the students talked about Anna of Saxony, who was a drunken sorority girl in a time before Girls Gone Wild, and had to come up with ways they would decide whether someone is unstable or just plain spoiled. The Is a Cigar Just a Cigar class discussed the symbolism of colors in cliches and in songs, and Hercules wasn't around for his Practical Mythology class, so Luke had everyone watch a movie about titans and krakens and scenery chewing, oh my.

Over in the dorms, the Pride club met, even though Petra was battling a cold, and they got caught up with one another and tossed around the idea of having a St. Patrick's Day mixer. Tara and Kenzi were all for the mixer idea, although Petra had to remind Kenzi that there's no alcohol at school functions. Until later in the evening when someone gets to the punch, at least. And Hanna had a quiet birthday celebration for herself, complete with a cupcake with a candle in it. Cupcakes are way better than regular cake, so I approve of this choice.

In town, Shira was tidying everything up at the Magic Box, and Sean was rearranging things at Nast Sporting Goods. It's not spring for a few more weeks, don't start the spring cleaning yet! There was bread baking going on at Cafe Luke's, Quinn had the doors open at the Arms Hotel to enjoy the nice weather, and at Caritas, Nathan was telling a girl dirty stories over the phone. I'm not sure whether to be grossed out by that or not, but I'm kind of glad that's my last note. Stay safe, everyone, and try to stay as normal as you ever do.
