*sounds of indignant chittering*
Oh, hush, being hugged won't kill you. It's a wonderful morning. Hello, Fandom! Jims slept through the night!! I'm sure the entire fifth floor rejoices with me in this monumentous event. And if you don't, you sleep much more soundly than I do.
This is Rilla Blythe, today is Friday, and it is sunny and gorgeous outside, if a little cooler than it looks like it should be. And now for the rest of the non-Jims related news:
In classes, Elements of Friendship was helping out with cider production for one of Miss Pie's friends. They sorted and picked apples, or bought cider. Mr. Luthor had ideas for streamlining production, which Miss Pie was very interested in hearing. Superheroing had a simulation where they learned about competition between superheroes, and were all quite annoyed when another superhero came and stole their spotlight at the last moment. Ethics had an exercise to learn how privileged they are--they aren't starving in Belgium, for one, or wet on the front lines of France, and everyone here has enough to eat so I imagine they are all fairly well off. Then they talk about whether Fandom has different standards for privilege than the worlds they come from. And in the library, Mr. Kaplan was exploring the movie options available. That seems like...not what the library would be for to me.
Over in the dormitories, the sorority met and bared our souls to each other. Or chatted about what was bothering us--Miss McGill had boy troubles, for instance--but I think the first one sounds more dramatic, don't you? I told Miss Edison about my trip home and she caught me up on the news from Brazil.
Mr. Andrew Wiggin was on a 'phone call in his room and Miss Forbes was having difficulty with her Italian lesson. She was interrupted by Mr. Black who learned that Miss Forbes was also having trouble explaining to her mother that she was planning to drop out of school to join Mr. Black after graduation. Well, that's easy! Just tell her you're engaged!
...you are engaged, right? Miss Adams was sketching out some costume designs for the play in town when Mr. LaCroix paid a call on her and they discussed--
*chittering*
moving in together? Are you also engaged? Why have I not been invited to any engagement parties?
*more chittering*
No, it's not because no one likes me. I'm quite popular.
And finally in town, Miss Scully was learning Russian at the clinic, Miss Maclay was studying a spellbook at the magical shop, which makes sense, and Mr. Murdoch--hello, William!--was joined at his shop by a frog and a penguin.
*long pause*
That seems odd. Rehearsals continued for the play, but not without muffins for sustenance, which is very nice of the directors. Yesterday they began learning dance choreography, and Miss Rapunzel and Miss [Kenzi's last name] chatted about their break weeks. The proprietor of Dite's, a shop I have never gone to has returned, and Miss Raven was their to welcome her back and tender her notice, Miss di Glacia had to explain the giant chicken in front of the store and Miss [Kenzi's last name] informed Miss Aphrodite that she worked there now and was conducting--
*chittering*
I'm not saying that. It is none of my business. Mr. Nelson and Miss Stewart went for a walk by the shore and talked about song lyrics and Mr. Nelson's very odd roommate. And finally at Caritas, Miss [Kenzi's last name] was serving drinks that were popular in Brazil because she missed being there.
And that's all the notes I have! Enjoy your weekend, Fandom!
