Fandom Radio, Thursday, September 7th

*Loud meowing is heard is heard through the microphone, along with scratching and muttering*

Faithful: "I need opposable thumbs."

Aly: "Very difficult being a cat, isn't it?"

Faithful: "Very difficult. Would you like to be a lovely human and open up that door for me so that I can begin trying to cheer-up our favorite red-head?"

Aly: "Will you continue to refer to me as a lovely human?"

Faithful: "That depends. Which answer will get you to open the door?"

Aly: "I'm a lovely and sweet girl, of course." *sound of door opening*

Faithful: "You are a lovely and sweet girl." *the sound of paper rustling could be heard and very quite muttering* "Very lovely and sweet girl with opposable thumbs? Want to help me out tonight? And hey, the radio is on already. Don't have to figure out how to work it."

Aly: *shuffling through the note* "This is everything everyone's done all day? I'm there."

Faithful: "Good evening Fandom! This is Faithful and Alianne ... what's your last name anyway?"

Aly: "What's yours?"

Faithful: "...I'm a cat. I don't have a last name. Unless you want to claim Trebond, but then you'll be left with some very artistic scratches on your hand. Anyway, this is Faithful and Aly bringing you tonight's news! Alanna, stop hitting your head against the desk."

Aly: "Yes, Alanna. You have a very, very hard head, but let's not dent it."

School: The Reason We're All Here. Or it Ought to Be.

Faithful: *a loud snort can be heard* Speaking of heads, I hope everyone used theirs today during class. So...Education. It's why you're here. Hopefully. That or you're on the run from the law. Myth in History talk about Callisto. If it's not flattering, except an angry blonde with a sharp sword, and probably dagger, to go after you soon. And they play toss with the fake baby. Your classes are so weird."

Aly: "They're doing what with a baby? I thought my class was going to be strange with pickpocketing."

Faithful: "At least yours is useful. Evie and Janet agree with me that baby tossing is useless and talk about clubs instead. And let it be known that Zack does not support Callisto slander. Zack wants to live to see tomorrow. And blah blah blah Marie and Janet talk about Janice and Zack, Billy, and Evie talk to Janice. Boring."

Aly: "In Applied Sciences, there were introductions. What are they applying science to, I wonder? Don't blow the island up, people."

Faithful: "At least not while we're all still on it."

Aly: "Then in Philosophy of Values, the students discussed whether they are pieces of DNA or a logical, ethical, and political animal. Animals? DNA? I don't know which is worse. Blair and Luna pass notes then Lyra stays after to talk to Dr. Wilson. Hopefully not to tell him about the note-passing."

Faithful: "In this school? Probably not. Meow. Dance does the boring first class introduction thing. Yawn. Then they talk about what dance is and then they finally dance."

Aly: "In the big surprise of the day, War Theory introduced themselves. Then they discussed the causes of war. One country wants more land or power. They try to take it. What is there to discuss? And Alanna apologises for missing half of the summer session....because she was a statue. First? She was a WHAT? And second, I am so very, very surprised that she's in Theories of War. Really. It's shocking."

Faithful: "I was a statue too. It was boring and someone drew on us. And I know, big shock. In other interesting news Ethics talk about what they would do for love. And...in an actual bit of shock Rory and Alanna pass notes. The horror! And then Rory gets in Vader's mask after class. Um, come again?"

Aly: *muffled giggling had started at the statue comment* "Mask? Riiiight... In Science! - the exclamation point is in the notes, they talk about having a science fair. Jenny had office hours but they were quiet."

Faithful: "So were Daisy's and Lorne's. Visit Daisy! Visit Lorne! Visit Jenny! Feed me tuna!"

Aly: "Tuna? I think you'd expect shrimp at the least."

Faithful: "That too. But most people don't have shrimp conviently stored in their refrigerator's. Right, more office hours. Aziraphale is visited by Lana. What is it with this school and the crazy names? Oooh, a normal one! John Winchester gets a visit from Jim Ellison who ever he is. Dr. Wilson gets a visit from shrimp, er, Pippi and the school office is open just like it is every other weekday so how this is news I don't know."

Aly: "Every bit of information can be important, cat. So the library was open today and Rory and Yomiko were discussing...highlighting."

Faithful: "I have a name. And Rory? And I realize you probably had a very rough week so I'm going to be nice and offer a very furry shoulder to cry on and ask that you see a psychiatrist because that is not normal behavior for a teenage girl."

Aly: "How do you know what normal behavior is? Though looking at the next bit, I think I agree with you. Willow and Rory were talking about library aide applications and 'gifts' of baked goods. Just call them bribes, girls. Makes life easier."

Faithful: "Yeah, you're right, normal is overrated. But, really, highlighting? All right, where am I? Blah blah blah Billy is in the library. Yomiko is in the library. Door is in the library. Dear parents of Fandom recidents: for the love of everything good and fluffy, like me, please stop naming your children by combining random letters together or looking at the closest object. Thank you."

Faithful: "And...that's enough of boring education stuffs, thank you very much."

Aly: "Ah, yes, let's not spent too much of our time focusing on the purpose of the school. That would just be silly"

Dorms of Emo and Drama

Faithful: *snort* "At the gym, Anders works out and Walter looks for something. If it's his sanity, he's looking on the wrong island. Oh come on, this is more boring than classes. Go out! Do something interesting!"

Aly: "And Pippi took your advice by going up to the roof and dancing. You peeked ahead in the notes, didn't you so you look all knowing now."

Faithful: "Of course." *very self satisfied purr with a bit of a snicker in it*

Aly: "In the cafeteria, Gwynn and Pete met and talked about where they are from. Sounds dreadfully interesting."

Faithful: "And Pip and Walter emo away on a squirrel roof. What? Oh, Squirrel cabin, right. Why go so far when you can be emo on the school roof? Crazy humans who like the outdoors."

Aly: "Emo? Should I ask what it is or just smile and nod?"

Faithful: "Emo. Emotional. Angsty. Annoying. Smart Evie stays inside and watchese Crime and Punishment and thinks Pete is funny. She also finds out that English Peter is displaced through time and space. There are too many Peters and Johns at this school. I swear, every name is either too creative, or too common. And Naomi talks with Pete and Evie. Okay, Naomi and Evie are normal names. Not insane, and not too common. And that's it for the common rooms? Wow, you guys are boring tonight."

Aly: ""You're not wrong. In the Third Floor Common Room, Schrodinger talks to Dana about Hitler's hair and then about Hitler again to Chad. Riveting. Really."

Faithful: "Told you so."

Aly: "In less boring news, my student Sakurazaki is glad that Jude's back. Cally and Nadia are silly with each other which I am so not asking about, and Isabel checks on Alanna. What's wrong?"

Faithful: "What's not? I hereby proclaim that emo week is over tomorrow. Any one found emoing after Friday night gets a visit from the local talking cat and must pay a fine of one lobster dinner. And look...non emo notes! Walter visits Al and picks something up for Nadia. And Al also chats with Lavender, the twins, and Alfons. Alfons and Alphonse. Heh. And hey, we have an actual set of twin at the school! Well, I know Alanna has a real twin, but he's not here, so that doesn't count. Your turn, I see a shinny quarter."

Aly: "Someone called Furball - and you're so very right about the names at this school - was dignified before he was visited by Walter. Marie has visitors to her room in the persons of Blair, Marie, and Shawn.

Faithful: Lavender meets Dawn. Lavender Dawn. Heh. Dean is looking for Sam and checks out Dawn's ass." *there is a long bit of silence followed by laughter and a thud*

Aly: *a good amount of chuckling is also heard* "Pick yourself off the floor, o dirty minded one, and let's continue giving the news."

Faithful: "What? I was just reading. Anyway, Jack comforts Isabel as does Greg. You guys make it very hard not to make dirty jokes, you know that, right?"

Aly: "They sound very ready to learn about new experiences. After visiting Isabel, Jack spends time with Jaye.. Peter and Rory debate highlighters - again? - before Luke checked on her after Ethics. Then Parker made sure Bridge was doing okay."

Faithful: "Rory? See me. Or better yet, have some sea food and I'll find you."

The Town. No, not that Town. That one!

Aly: "And while the school feels like the center of the universe, the people of the town also went about their lives. The Doctor stopped by the Clinic during the day to talk with Dr. Troy and Trevor Goodchild had a quiet evening with newspapers."

Faithful: "Okay, people? Get hurt on Friday and Saturday mornings."

Aly: "Or don't listen to the talking cat who tells me his name is Faithful and don't get hurt at all."

Faithful: "It gets boring. All there is to do is watch Alanna read, poke the television, and count the bandages." *pause* "134 if anyone is interested. Ahem. In more interesting news, Caritas! Where Phoebe is the bartender tonight. Let's see...Phoebe serves Jim and then he talks with Lana about Fandom."

Aly: "An unsurprising topic of conversation around here. Phoebe and Lana discuss Marie and their classes before Lana offers to help Joxer with his homework. Phoebe hears about Ethics from Bel. And if Phoebe isn't the bartender, she better not have had to buy any drinks after listening to everyone all night. Ahhh, and Joxer is apparently upset that the Myth teacher told him he will have children." *long pause then very dryly* "That has to be very strange."

Faithful: *snort* "Because nobody we know informed a certain red head that they were her daughter. How old are you anyway?"

Aly: "Didn't your Mother teach you it was rude to ask a lady her age?"

Faithful: "I'm a cat. What do you expect?"

Aly: "To have learned from the cat killed by curiosity? Elsewhere in town, Jack chatted with Lana at Selkie Cove. Billy was there too. Jamie helped Pippi at Empire Records, and Professor Harrington and the twins all go to the Perk. Same twins or a different set from before, I wonder."

Faithful: "He wasn't killed. Just roughed up a bit. Plus, nine lives and all that. Oooh. Clark goes to All and Sundries to buy duck food. Ducks are very good too, for anyone keeping track of what I like to be bribed with. Nadia goes shopping. Boring. Pirate Radio! Not boring! Call in to Barbossa with your love problems and listen as all your friends burst out laughing!"

Aly: "At Cafe Fina, Alfred gave Walter a present. Aww, is it his birthday? Then Cally is at the beach. She is deep. With toast." *sound of shuffling papers* "Sadly there's no further elaboration on that. Finally, Conner and Edward play with their balls at the Park. Walter stops by to watch."

Faithful: *snort and a dry laugh* And that's all for us. Stay crazy Fandom! And remember, bribe your local talking cat and don't be emo!

Aly: "Good night, all. Listen to the cat! Sometimes."

Sakurazaki's shoulders squared and her chin lifted about mid-way through the broadcast. Not only had Alianna-sensei mentioned her, but she had also designated her specifically as one of her students and as being less boring than many of her peers.

She felt....accomplished.

Walter caught the broadcast the next day and threw a pencil at the radio. "Just because people are on a roof does not mean there's emo."

Nimitz sat up on his true-feet and signed at Honor. The admiral rolled her eyes. "I'm glad you like Faithful, Stinker, but no, you can't go catch him a duck. Just...order take out from Ching Tai. I hear their peking duck is very good."

Pausing, Nimitz considered this, then nodded. "Bleek!" he exclaimed, holding up his true-hands. Alas, he had opposable thumbs, but couldn't speak.

Honor smirked. "Sounds like you have a problem."

The treecat snorted. Turning, he flicked his prehensile tail as he stalked off. Honor watched him go with a chuckle.
