Fandom Radio, Monday Night, September 4th, 2006
Both: Good evening Fandom. No, this isn't an echo! We are the Hitachiin brothers, here tonight to bring you the latest happenings in and around Fandom. So sit back, enjoy the show and don't forget your once-a-day, sometimes more, required dose of caffeine.
Hikaru: Speaking of caffeine, stock up because it's the first day of classes. Who ever heard of classes on labor day?
Kaoru: I don't know what you're whining about. You weren't the one working today. I had the class.
Hikaru: *dramatic sigh* And I felt so loney without you Kaoru...
Kaoru: Don't say that Hikaru!... You know I was thinking about you every moment I was gone... *a bit of shuffling is heard*
The Gym: lessons on fighting, not-dating, cyborgs, and stealing porn...
Hikaru: Apparently Seely drew quite a crowd at the gym this morning by lifting weights....maybe the real crowd was gathered when him and Ray talked about hide-and-go-stab with Seely's brother. I really hope we never play a game like that, Kaoru.
Kaoru: You have nothing to fear, dear brother. On the other hand, I fear the women and potential dentistry Cally and Ray were talking about. Cally-who's-not-psychotic also met Seely who is STILL not angel.
Hikaru: At least we can say we were born to look like each other.
Kaoru: And I'd never want to look like anyone else Hikaru...
Hikaru: Eric and Seely bond over pretty girls. They should learn a few things about bonding.... and Cally finds out Alec is a womanizer, later meeting Ray.
Kaoru: Emotions seem to run rampant even in the gym; Seely accuses parker of sublimation...? Isn't that when ice turns to vapor..? Then Parker and Ray decide not to date. I wasn't aware people made decisions like that. If they have to stop themselves, doesn't that mean it was meant to be?
Hikaru: The day you start to date someone will be a most devestatingly dark day for me....
Kaoru: Hikaru! How could I ever find anyone to replace you..?!
Hikaru: I'll fight for your affection, Kaoru! Maybe Conner and Parker can teach me a few things when they spar next time. After Seely and Conner met, Conner told Ray about...a fountain of youth?!? Keeping such a secret, he could earn some money with a goldmine like that.
Kaoru: Not only did the gym get used in the morning, but a much smaller crowd was there to accompany Aeryn and some sort of heavy bag in the afternoon. The bag was a place of gossip as well between Aeryn and Tyler, while Peter Parker threw some punches at the gossiper later on.
Hikaru: I'm so through with this boring gym. Let's move onto classes.
Classes and what they say is practical learning...
Kaoru: They definatly got-to-it in first period, Good Omens...And Bad: Prophecy in Theory and Practice where Mr. Phale goes over the basics of divination. How creepy... to be able to tell the future.
Hikaru: I'd know the next time you end up in my bed at night, Kaoru..
Kaoru: That's not difficult Hikaru, I'm there every night.
Hikaru: That's because of your bad dreams, of course. And speaking of dreams, Bridge, Agnes and Phoebe wonder if premontions count as dreams while Maia wonders what a lack of dreaming indicates. I guess dream journals are a part of this too, because Nadia, Bridge, Anders, and Dawn are nervous about them. What's frightening about a journal?
Kaoru: Maybe they're afraid people will see their deepest darkest secrets. Dreams are supposed to be a person's most hidden desires. I could never share my dreams with you Hikaru... They're much too personal.
Hikaru: Maybe people are dreaming about being divine like Blair, or when prophecies are the real deal like Dawn.
Kaoru: People seem to have picked up our question bug... John Conner wonders about self-fulfilling prophecies, Lyra worries about losing future-powers, Dean asks about controlling visions and Blair asks Lyra to "mediate" with him.... that's pretty suspicious.
Hikaru: We've "meditated" before, haven't we, Kaoru? I found it quite exilerating.
Kaoru: No need to tell everyone about our personal experiences Hikaru... we might get teased like Dawn did today.
Hikaru: Moving from astrology to astronomy, Interstellar Relations students met today to discuss what they'd be learning. I guess not every student showed up because Peter is still a pony and Parker caused some pencil snapping from Roslin.
Kaoru: My Cross Species Communications class met today. Apparently choking and grunting counts as a language... we were also stangely measured. "Almost morally redeemable"? That tape measure has quite a 'mouth'...
Hikaru: The Media Studies class met and went through some intros and interests. Class isn't even free from drama, as the new teacher's "cute-ness" is dicussed, along with relationships and beach date shoot-downs.
Kaoru: I'd love to spend a day at the beach with you Hikaru...
Hikaru: Nothing would please me more..
Kaoru: World History students made new aquantainces today and played "The Caveman Challenge". The class must have some computer gurus because Daniel shows Evie his computer-fu while catching up with Sam.
Hikaru: Back in the Host-Club, we made some wicked websites, remember?
Kaoru: Photoshopping is a valuable skill. But not one for Spanish class. I wonder if they still give people those fake Spanish names to use.
Hikaru: Luckily we never took Spanish. Japanese names don't really translate well...we'd probably just be Pedro for lack of originality.
Kaoru: Last but not least Pop Cultures met and got to know each other. I guess a lot better than most classes because Lyra and Bel talked about the underworld, Lyra and Zuko got intimate about the past, someone wants to change his name, musical thanks were offered, a few people praise coffee, and Luke explains his settling difficulties with Aeryn. Phew.... that was a mouthful.
Hikaru: Not to mention teacher availabilities. Phale is ready for business, as well as Tuesday, who gets a guest, Yondaime, and Wilson-who also gets a few guests, three to be exact. Ellie Arroway gets a visit from matilda, Eliiot Reid is visited by Willow and Summer, El Mariachi talks with Nadia about dancing and John Conner introduces himself, and Mary Poppins is ready to serve.
Kaoru: At least the the office staff and the librarian are excited about the new school year. Three nerds have already stopped by to check it out and meet Yomiko.
Hikaru: This is only the first day and there's already a load of work to cover. Good luck everyone.
Kaoru: And now it's time to veer clear of studies and talk about things outside of school...
Hikaru: Like what happened last night when you-
Kaoru: I was thinking more like around town.
Town, food, and how convenient it is to open a store on the first day of school...
Hikaru: Not that we'd ever take a trip to that under-rated cafeteria, but I guess commoners like Zack, Anders, Lyra, and Naomi actually enjoyed this so called "lunch" they serve here. Them, and a few hackers and food pokers too.
Kaoru: It wouldn't be strange to import our chef, would it? I could use some good cooking right about now... and I don't think Caritas sells food, although some music could be heard floating about along with talk about strange fandom occurances, beer orders and scary first days. I'm impressed. I don't think I could teach a class by myself.
Hikaru: You wouldn't have to, Kaoru. I'm always here to support you...
Kaoru: But if you were there Hikaru, I wouldn't be able to focus on teaching the students...
Hikaru: We could always hide out in the clinic, I heard it's usually pretty quiet, minus a check-up visit or two.
Kaoru: Or maybe we could open up a shop like Gile's or Chad at Empire Records.
Hikaru: Loitering on the town hall computers would be fun too. Or at least better than looking for a job like Teddy was.
Kaoru: *notes shuffle* There was a party in the park?! Why weren't we invited?!
Hikaru: Don't worry, it was just some churchy lady, the doctor and a few teachers that actually went. Nothing too exciting, although Ellie did talk to Janice and Clark about caffeine.
Kaoru: A Barbeque would have just distracted me from you too much anyways...
Hikaru: Good thing we didn't do much at the dorms. I hear they were pretty busy.
Fandom Dorms and why people need to settle down a little...
Kaoru: *sounds of notes being tossed around* No kidding! Why was today "let's run around, be emo and eat chicken" night?! Jeeze kids, settle down.
Hikaru: Isabel is promising Luke things-probably dirty- and Luke is making EVERYONE EMO. The emo has been spread to Alanna, Anders, and Angela while he also spreads gossip about Anakin. The term "Super Blair" was coined by Anders and Isabel, and creepy roommates are 'bashed'.
Kaoru: Christmas Cookies were planned by Isabel and Dawn. A little early to be talking about Christmas, isn't it? I guess Christmas cookies would go well with flaily love lives and just-friend couples. Maybe the anti-dress club wouldn't appreciate it though. Something about gremlins came up as well...
Hikaru: I wanna see a gremlin! I was promised gremlins here and we have YET to see any. People able to multiply in an instant, yes, girls who can float couches, yes, but NO GREMLINS.
Kaoru: We'll have to go on a hunt sometime then. Round up some gremlins and release them in the dorms...
Hikaru: I love when you think like me.
Kaoru: It's hard always being the responsible one.
Hikaru: Still in the dorms, Isabel and Lana talk about Jack, and Joxer shows an interest in garlic bread. MMmm...
Kaoru: Teddy and Anders meet again while Teddy meets Cedric and talks about alien life with Isabel (later turning green?!?!) and earth.... Right...
Hikaru: What exactly is a "Gremlin Date"? I wonder what TAing is like? Whoa. That was a big contrast...
Kaoru: Setsuna and Isabel dork about classes. While people are still talking about this Marie girl. Meanwhile Z and Bridge talk about adventures with a "teal dear"... *sounds of the notes being poked can be heard*
Hikaru: I want to go on an adventure...
Kaoru: Everyday's an adventure with you Hikaru...
Hikaru: Don't embarrasse me, Kaoru. We still have more to report. We can talk about that later...
Kaoru: Bel is now some sort of Taxi Man and was seen talking to Alanna about Hunting 101 and possible blood shed. On the subject of classes AGAIN, being a horse is apparently a good enough reason to miss them, not to mention being a cute horse. Mocking, red pens and more Marie conversations ensue, plus free food enjoyment and an 'imaginary giant' who walks around town...
Hikaru: Most recently, the painting party that JD hosted-and we helped think up- had some major attendance. Cally, Bel-who-doesn't-like-pink, Blair, Pippi, Pip, Tyler, Will, Us, Hermione, Walter, and Stark come to play with the paint. *gasping follows*
Kaoru: I still have paint all over my hands.
Hikaru: I'll take care of that later Kaoru... A trip to the shower may be in order.
Kaoru: Oh dear Hikaru... children could be listening.
Hikaru: Not for much longer, fortunatly. In the last bit of Dorm-related news, Cam checks on Molly, Sam helps Cam, Willow and Marie are having a sleep over, and Rory gets both a call from her mom and some food from Lyra.

Hikaru: *yawns* On a slightly more interesting note, Hermione gets too close to fire, Eric meets his big brother Alec, and Maia talks to her fishie.
Kaoru: She should take Cross Species Communications, then she could get some interesting input.
Hikaru: Whew! I think that's been enough talking for one night.
Kaoru: There will be much less talking going on when we're together later, Hikaru...
Hikaru: In that case, it's time to say "Adios Fandom".
Both: Goodnight and thank you for listening to the first-maybe only-Hitachiin Brother's show! Oyasumi!

"I was so not almost naked with Agnes!" she objected.
But then, dammit, she was blushing again. Why?!
[[ooc: Dudes, seriously, that was awesome. Great job.]]
