Fandom Radio, Thursday, November 17th
Good morning, Fandom. I hope I'm catching you all awake and ready for another school day. If not, grab a cup of coffee, open up your laptops, and enjoy your day off.
Here's the news, as brought to you by WTFH news!
SCHOOL
Strange Creatures of the Deep kicks off our notes today with a lecture about the spider conch, which sounds a little dubious if you ask me. They observed the conches, but there's no word on what the conches did. That Class That Makes You Doubt The Validity Of The School Board actually wasn't helmed by professor Madrox yesterday: Claudia taught a guest class on dangerous artifacts and how to archive them.
Moving on, everyone's favorite War and Peace class discussed negotiating relationships. With some tact. That meant everyone got an assignment, with no word on what the actual assignment was. Sneaky, guys. Tricks, Cons and Bamboozles was more of a free-for-all, says this squirrel, as the students were assigned to show off. Miley is completely excited by this development, but Kenzi is not. Aw, Kenz. It'll be okay. Not that that kept you from having to show off, of course.
The library was quiet, though not in the literal sense; Gabrielle went a-hunting for a sound she couldn't identify.
DORMS
George's moping was swiftly interrupted by Jeremy and a bouquet of flowers, and according to the notes, that went down pretty well. Warren was in his room listening to Celine Dion - whoever that might be. Tony swiftly put an end to his 'emo' - whatever that might be - with a phone call. The squirrels are grateful. I don't think I'll be looking up this Dion woman. Wesley stopped by afterwards, and heard that Bobby had gotten some unpleasant news and wasn't around because of it.
And Topher was moping - still - in his room until Tony swung by and apologised for the text message. Wow, that's decent of you, Stark.
TOWNIES
Lion-o was all out of ideas for the specials at Luke's, William cleared out his spam email at Stark's, while Quinn dealt with hashtag-portalocityfail at the hotel. Apparently some guests haven't been showing up due to portal trouble. Nice work, Portalocity. Really.
At Turtle & Canary, Hank showed up in a Ratman costume. Okay, squirrels, we didn't need to know that. Sov was just as confused as I am, but apparently it's because Hank wants to be ready for the return of his killer robot baby.
I think someone didn't read the instruction manual.
My brother brooded at the beach - big surprise. Nothing really new there. Meanwhile, Mitchell got a phone call from Kate, which interrupted his television watching. Rough.
The Boards was back open for more auditions, and they got plenty. Rinoa got a callback and brought goodies, which I hear worked out well for both parties. Karla turned up because her teachers were making her, but she wasn't sure what to do. Hank showcased his version of 'Jingle Bell Rock'; no word on whether he was still wearing the Ratman costume. Probably because no one wanted to know. Juliet did a dramatic reading of a song by someone I once again don't know, but I'm sure it was good, and Jonothon's business partner Troy was annoyed by the way Jono was showing off videos from his childhood. Troy's, that is. Word has it he wore a chicken suit.
Chloe was not fond of the Christmas jingles playing at the clinic, and Tino staffed Caritas, because Nathan was busy getting drunk somewhere else for a change.
And I think that's all you did today, so have a good one, and check in again tomorrow!
