Fandom Radio- Wednesday, October 19
Good morning, Fandom! This is Annie with your Wednesday's news. Hope everyone's recovered by now from break, and if not... well, you should get on that before homecoming.
SCHOOL
In Ethics, Topher and Ender texted before class, and then we had an exercise where we had to move forward or backward over a line depending on how we answered questions about privilege. Then we got to discuss how Fandom is different from our own worlds when it comes to that. Toby was a little put out by the whole thing, so he got hugs from Kenzi. Aww.
Bringing Literature to Life- Through Violence! looked at the Japanese legend of the Forty-Seven Ronin, and Professor Perrault got complimented for picking interesting stories. Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse did without the zombies today, and instead did a paper on whether or not they should be a hero.
Professor Lannister spent his office hours reading through a book, which is how Rinoa spent her library shift till Seifer brought coffee. And at Kappa Delta Gremlin, we were trying to bake for homecoming, and then Puck changed back into a boy from a baby gorilla. Naked. Did you know you change back naked? Because you do. Quinn was fine with that, but I wasn't. Do you know how hard it is to hold a conversation with a naked guy with your hands covering your face? Because I learned that today.
DORMS
Dave was selling tickets for homecoming in the lobby today, and if you haven't gotten your ticket and voted for homecoming court, you've only got a couple days left! Seifer bought a ticket, and Topher- Oh, Topher. He didn't know Dave was on Student Council, for one, then tried to talk him into just giving him a ticket for free and then wanted to know who Dave voted for. As of when the squirrels gave up, Dave did neither. Good Dave.
Natalie visited Sam while he was sleeping... And okay, I should take a moment to say that last week in my broadcast, I said something I didn't mean about Natalie, and I'm very sorry to have made that public. EspeciallysinceIhavemorefittingadjectivesnow. ANYWAY. Ramona turned from a blue chick into a blue-haired girl, and after talking about her hair with Nathan, she tells him she was going to ask him to homecoming if he was around, which he won't be. That's okay, Ramona, it just means you can have fun by yourself without worrying about another person!
Petra got to witness Dane-er-is turning into a girl again instead of a dragon, and finally, Squall woke up pink and glittery. Despite our love of glitter, I will take a stand right now and say that Student Council was not responsible.
TOWN
Millie listened to the nurses talk about their break in the clinic, Hermione had to deal with phone calls from a fax at Cabot and Associates, and I was cheerful at Goodvalor's. Aww, thanks, squirrels! At Dite's, Raven came in to find a giant metal... thingie, and texted Karla about it.
George had a sign up at Groovy Tunes advertising a discount if anyone could convince her to give a f- convince her to care about something. It doesn't seem like anyone took her up on it. I think maybe someone should have. Professor Skywalker brought coffee to the trooper station, where he welcomed Audrey, who'll be working there, and tried to explain Fandom to her. It confuses us all at first. You get used to it. Audrey then went to MCA to get an apartment from Zayne.
That's it for my notes. Have a great week, and enjoy homecoming!
