Fandom Radio, Friday, May 20

Good morning, everyone. This is Sam Winchester, bringing you all the news the squirrels decided to write down yesterday.

*chittering*

Hey, let's not forget who coerced who into coming in here today. I expect at least a little rum out of this later.

School:
In Childcare for Idiots, Deadpool covered the need to supervise kids as much as possible, to keep them away from dangerous things. Like, you know, him. Everyone got together to figure out what they have laying around in their rooms that might be dangerous to a small child, and Sov apologized to Deadpool for missing class due to sleeping for a week. Let's hope that's not something that's going around, shall we?

The Care and Feeding of Hirelings students got to design uniforms for their minions. God, I've missed the classes here. There really aren't any classes about minions in college, consider that a warning. Elle checked up on Karla, who's been dealing with a ton of crap happening lately, and then they got down to the business of outfit design. Karla used the colors of Glacia in her design, which Hook approved of.

In Creative Writing, the students discussed how to develop characters by creating characters from a worksheet and then playing those characters at a royal party. And Alexander was looking through old maps and scrolls in the library, while Belle was reading about blenders and playing with her hair ribbon.

Over at the teacher's offices, I got a visit from Bobby, who wasn't in any trouble, I promise. Anakin was watching a video and taking notes on it, and got visits from Raven, who agreed with him that this week has totally blown, and Wesley, who asked about what Anakin was watching. I'm sorry this has been such a bad week for people, honestly.

Dorms:
Kate's apparently been having a bad week too, because she was brooding and party-planning at the same time, until Bod stopped by and offered to cuddle with her to make her feel better. Awwww, that's seriously adorable.

In the fifth floor common room, Toby was watching Space Battles, because really, how do you turn that on and not watch it? It's impossible. Freddie and Toby talked about other futuristic shows they watch, which turned out to sound kind of the same but actually be really different. Welcome to conversations in Fandom, guys. Jack was more curious about what was on ESPN, because there's something wrong with him, and Sam--hey, is there allowed to be more than one of us? At least this one is a girl, so maybe that won't be too confusing--was more concerned about how hot it is outside, which Jack pointed out is because duh, we're in Egypt, so there's really not another option besides "hot." Freddie made sure that Sam wasn't eating frozen food without cooking it, because she apparently has a thing about eating food she probably shouldn't, which might not be something she should mention in front of Damian, who was angry because the food in the common rooms wasn't nutritious enough for him. On the other hand, you don't have to pay for it, and that's always seemed like a fair trade to me.

Town:
Jack was doing some computer research at Cabot and Associates, Fraser and Dief were enjoying the air conditioning at the MHA, and Cally put sand art on display at Strokes of Genius in honor of the island being in Egypt now. Millie was, or is, looking for more employees at Book Haven, Helen enjoyed her day with the horses at The Gig, and George was playing with popsicle sticks at Turtle and Canary when Ramona came in and asked if George was saving the sticks to build a tiny village. Hopefully, the answer was no, because I'd like to think no one around here has that much free time.

At the Long-term Finance class, Eric and Jack set up a simulation for the students, where they had to deal with being trapped on a planet of slime, and having to save money to get home. Afterwards, they discussed how the simulation went, and Eric talked to Mitchell, who only wanted to talk to Eric, not Jack, and to George, who wanted to know if Eric is really a vampire. Apparently, he is, although I'm assuming he's a non-violent one since he's here and all.

Chuck was drinking Diet Coke instead of booze at Caritas, which sounds just as crazy to me as it did to the squirrels, Chrono opened the Devil's Nest after spending some time in Alexandria, and at the clinic, Dana was running blood tests on some samples of blood.

Those seem to be all the notes I have, so I'll leave you guys to the rest of your morning. Try to make it to the weekend in one piece, if you can, okay?
