Fandom Radio, Sunday, February 20th
Let's make it quick, people. I'm not missing Hawaii and I'm not paying for my own portal if crap you did yesterday makes me miss the school portal.
Dorms
Up on the fifth floor, Bruce was eating cereal and watching some crappy black and white superhero show. Boring. Cara was surprised that the TV was showing something decent and then talked to Bruce about cape fashion. Tony was surprised by the old show and then talked to Bruce about cape fashion. Stephanie brought donuts and recognized the show and talked to Bruce about heroes and dressing up as heroes at movies and conventions and blah blah blah. Be cool. Dress like villains sometime. God. Then she talked to Tony about the black and white aspect of the show and cape fashion. And then Roy came in to wish Bruce a happy birthday and talk about the show some more.
Hey Bruce. See me on the trip. I'll give you a belated birthday gift. It'll be a cape that says "Capes suck" on it.
Or maybe just "Kick me." I'll think about it.
In her room, Makita took a break from packing to transform into a wolf, because that seems reasonable. Jono was staring at his ceiling when Emma walking in and turned into an ermine.... What the hell is an ermine. One of you squirrels, hit up wikipedia while I'm reading your notes!
Anyway, Tara stopped in to talk to Jono about being packrats and him doing something brave off the island and then he broke out some false modesty.
Then in the afternoon, Nathan was up on the roof, smoking and texting like a smoking and texting fiend.
Oh, hey, the squirrels just printed out the wiki page for me. An ermine, also known as a stoat, is " is a species of Mustelid native to Eurasia and North America, distinguished from the least weasel by its larger size and longer tail with a prominent black tip." Oh hey, they're pretty adorable. Kind of a weasely meerkat or something. No, I don't know what a Mustelid is. No, you don't have to look that up. I'm trying to catch a portal.
But grab some of the rum from the stash. I want to bring that on the trip.
Okay, back to Dorms. Karla was getting annoyed by how much she was sleeping - get some 5 Hour Energy, trust me, it worked great on set - when Tara stopped by to talk about how awesome servants are. I'm actually sitting on a human chair made up of my stunt team right now. For anyone from my class who might be listening - and that better be all of you - Doug is my footrest. Raven dropped in to talk about girl stuff like relationships and food and the trip, because they're girls.
Over in her own room, Kate was packing and texting, not like a fiend.
Kennedy was blasting music while she packed, then she got a visit from Tara, who was today's official social butterfly. Thanks for making me that much later to the portal, Tara. They talked about reversing brainwashing, blowing up buildings, clothes, and Hawaii. There must have been some great segues in that conversation. Then she got a bunch of texts and a phone call from somebody who wasn't Bobby. And finally, Wesley dropped by and hinted at his birthday being today... Okay, who's giving the birthday punches? I'm too late to organize birthday punches for Bruce, but this kid's birthday is today and he wears glasses! Somebody better punch him in the arm however many times it takes. Maybe go back and get Bruce, too. Remember, it's their age and one to grow on!
And Rinoa was in her room, trying and failing to read. Hooked on Phonics, kid.
Town
Chrono was at the Perk, holding up the line for a while before picking a black coffee, which was appreciated by everyone behind him. I'm not gonna lie, I would have punched him in the back of the head to make sure I got my coffee faster. Then again, I'm evil, so whatever. Jan toddled up, told Chrono he's pretty - bet he's not prettier than me - and asked to braid his hair, and Chrono said no. And when he asked where her parents were, Deadpool suckerpunched him! HA! That's great. I'm still gonna kick your ass, buddy, but now I see why we were paired up. Classic. Then he told Chrono to get the hell out of there and I was I was there to trip the guy on his way out the door.
Also, Leo was working on a tiny boat at Fixxer-Uppers, Jaina dealt with a Hawaiian shirted Tino at Caritas, Millie gave the nurses some books at the clinic, and I'm out of here for the week. Where's the rum, squirrels?
