Fandom Radio, Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Luke: --and this, Leo, is the radio...place.

Leo: Niiiiiiice. Very squirrely.

Luke: You get used to it. Just try not to think about how they can see everything you do otherwise you'll become paranoid.

Leo: Wait--everything? Like...

Luke: Really, don't think about it. Just take half the notes and get ready to report. Thanks for helping me out with this, by the way. I figured double the dyslexia and ADHD, double the fun.

Leo: Hey, no problem, dude. Anything for a cousin I've just met.

Luke: Awesome. Good morning, Fandom...that feels weird to say. This is Luke Castellan and with me is Leo Valdez, and we're here to attempt to read you the news.

School

Luke: Just take your time reading, the names here can be kind of weird.

Leo: I'll say, check out this name. Blackagar? I think? Maybe? Whatever, he opened the library and Medusa--that name I can read--came by to talk about the weird voicemails from yesterday. Ohhhhh so it wasn't just me.

Dorms

Luke: Definitely not the only one. Sorry to anybody I left weird messages to. Actually I think I was being pretty nice so I'm sorry to the person I accused of being a pervert, the person I talked Post-It death with and the person I gave Percy's number to, but I'm not sorry to the person I invited out for pizza. I'm sure you are very hot. Wesley did a very British thing and made a bunch of tea before trying to find something to watch on TV. Percy welcomed Wesley back and they talked about the weird voicemails yesterday before getting into something about goat-touching strippers. I'm...not sure I want to know.

Leo: I'm morbidly curious.

Luke: Zatanna complimented Wesley on his tea making skills and they talked about the messages before talking about Post-It death. Hey, I got that voicemail! Warren turned down Wesley's offer of tea since he prefers coffee and then they got dorky about the Discovery Channel. Percy got into a conversation with Warren about how he's glad nobody's accusing him of being a stripper and just what a love monkey is. You are so lucky I don't feel like embarrassing you right now, Percy.

Leo: Isn't that what this thing is for? Embarrassing people?

Luke: Wow, you picked up on that quickly. But I try to be nice to Percy. There's rewards in it for me. Alexander was ridiculously excited about tea, and he and Wesley got to talking about the labyrinth and how Wesley is sad he missed it. Zatanna told Alexander she thinks Wesley should make tea all the time, which Alexander found unfair. Man, it's tea, it cannot be that hard to make. Bruce welcomed Wesley back and they talked about the weird voicemails yesterday and Bruce shared that someone complimented him on his nice knockers. I'm sure they're lovely. Strange voicemails were the topic of Bruce and Rilla's conversation, but they also talked about how Rilla was getting better at baking. Rilla was blushing at Wesley for some reason, but Wesley is more concerned with offering her tea. And later on in the evening Bruce was boxing in the gym.

Leo: More reading for me then? Awesome, reading is good for you. It creates rainbows and Levar Burton and stuff like that. Cloud was enjoying the clam of his room.

Luke: I think you mean calm.

Leo: ...oh! Yes, I do. I mean, there's the possibility he owns a pet clam. I've seen weirder things. Bod was reading in his room. See? Reading's fundamental! Bruce came in to ask Bod what he was reading and that somehow evolved into talking about ghosts and whether or not Bruce has seen one. Kate was listening to music when that freaking weird Nathan guy came by being snarky and they talked about how the fifth floor didn't agree with Kate and, of course, about the weird voicemails. Quinn wanted to know if the term 'love monkey' meant anything to Kate and they talked about if learning to fight should be standard in Fandom. I believe in love, not war, ladies.

Luke: Smooth.

Leo: Thanks! Ino was pretending to read in her room, which is not as fundamental as actually reading. She got a call from Romeo who apparently knew about the tough time she's been having lately and they talked about Reno's world compared to Zack's. Speaking of Zack came by to talk about meeting his parents and a friend of his and how Ino has decided to name her bird Silly. I guess I can't judge. I named my pet dragon Happy, sort of.

Luke: ...Happy the dragon?

Leo: Festus! Latin for happy. Complete accident. Anyway, Ino was surprised to get a phone call from Hurley, and apparently he wasn't in the best situation. Effy was texting in her room when Rosalind came by to introduce herself and ask if the message she got from Alex yesterday could possibly be for her. Peter was being nosy and asked Effy who she was texting and she said it was to people in England asking for relationship advice. Jamie was spazzing out about a package he got and ran into Momoko, who was looking for him because the zipper in her boot was caught and she was wondering if he could help her take it off.

Luke: Sounds like a come on.

Leo: Apparently he thought the same thing.

Town

Luke: Genesis was looking at the ocean being all contemplative, and apparently he was waiting for Cassidy, who wanted to know if his elemental magic and her Craft could work together. Again, sounds like a come on. Momoko was at the beach as well and was sighing over it for some reason. Jane Porter was asking Apu a lot of questions at the T&C before chastising Shunsui about being late. Roy was doing some filing in between games of Solitaire at Cabot & Associates, and Millie was at the clinic.

Leo: Rikku was at Fixer-Uppers tinkering with stuff and, after hugging me and mistaking me for someone else, offered me a job after seeing what I can do with my hands. Not dirty. Momoko gave Rikku and gift and talked to me about making friends on the island. Which is ridiculously easy, because you people are so nice that it's kind of weird. Jaina was ignoring her comlink at Caritas and talked to Lucas Lee about hot spots in town and how he could jump over Tino with his skateboard. I kind of wish I could have been there to see that.

Luke: It was date night in town yesterday, apparently. Maladicta and Faramir saw Snarled at the movie theater today. They chatted about the theater compared to the taverns they knew back home and gasped at the awful that is Justin Bieber. I don't blame you. Then Maladicta declared Faramir was hers, which is actually pretty cute. Squall was nervous about his date with Rinoa, but it seems to go well after she tries to get him to relax.

Leo: I'm learning so much about you people. I feel knowledgeable and creepy at the same time.

Luke: You get used to it. Anyway, we're out of notes and I'm looking to get back to sleep. I can't believe I woke up this early on a Sunday for you people.

Leo: I didn't mind it!

Luke: Well you're sort of hyperactive. Like, more so than the usual member of the family. Which is...disturbing.

Leo: I'll take that as a compliment.

Luke: Very optimistic of you. Anyway, we're out of here, Fandom. Have a nice day.
