Fandom Radio, November 15

. . . and you guys couldn't have kidnapped someone else for the night? I mean, really, just for once there could've --

*chittering*

Did I mention I've only got a couple of hours left before I lose my shot at getting a three-star rating on this Cafe World catering job?

*squirrel laughter that is nothing if not distinctly mocking*

Oh, fine.

Classes

Macro-Tactics got a review day with a chance to ask Kerrigan or the TAs any questions about the material, or ask Kerrigan non-class-related questions too. Food Appreciation got an introduction to brunch, a fine tradition worthy of enjoying and experimenting with . . . or being nostalgic about if you're John.

Personal Weapons covered that fancy high-tech energy weapon stuff, like phasers and blasters and Galaxy Quest type thingies, and found non-combat ways to use them. I'm sure Max had ideas if anyone was stumped. Around the World in Fifteen Weeks took a little trip to the micronation of Sealand, which they could also watch a film about, or talk to Bond or Kyle about it.

Jaina was in her office prepping for a trip home when she got a visit from Ben, and in the school office proper the moose wanted everyone to know not to ask about the mess.

Gabrielle was in the library giving a book about Stonehenge funny looks, and not paying any attention to Momoko and Jaime's tense little study session.

Clubs

Kappa Kappa Gremlin had an easy day today: hanging out and playing video games, or taunting Alexander about oil wrestling if you're Peter. I'm not sure that's what the club leaders and Fraser had in mind for relaxation, but whatever floats your boat.

Dorms

Quiet day in the dorms. Maladicta and Faramir and a snuggle-able bag of coffee beans woke up relieved that things are, uh, back to normal. Fandom-normal.

Nico went to go wash his sheets for reasons I am not speculating on and ended up with a laundry room party: Zatanna, who heard about how he was washing the sheets because he thinks his roommate used them for . . . illicit purposes, Jason, who was a little awkward with him but managed to move the conversation to the good old 'what did you do over the weekend' subject, and George Lass. Who Nico hopes brought enough fabric softener for everyone.

Town

*chittering*

No, I refuse to validate your theory on why everyone's so quiet today. No. Absolutely not. Why would everyone have a reason to be that awkward, anyway? Ben and Ender sure weren't at Fixer-Uppers. Not at all. Really. Neither was Karla, but that was because she was too busy at Dite's Decadent Delights being sappy. The squirrels are concerned about diabetes. Raven came to get all the gossip on why, Cloud got the scoop on Karla and Warren's relationship, Ben got the gossip too, and Karla's boss the goddess got in on the conversational conga line at closing time.

Genesis was planning play scheduling at the Boards, and got a surprise when Karla stopped in to make up for missing rehearsals recently. Quinn was mostly glad the Arms Hotel staff was done making out in supply closets, Sergeant Angua was mostly just glad to be back on duty at the Trooper Station, Alex Russo was magically cleaning up at the Magic Box, Jane was sprucing up less magically and more artistically at Strokes of Genius, and Makita was replenishing Pixie Dust's lingerie stocks.

Things were back to normal for Zatanna at Turtle and Canary, and for Dani at the Gig, where it was a relaxing sort of day. If only it had been as relaxing for me at Luke's Diner, but no, Sherlock was being very demanding and unreasonable about the coffee. Claudia's visit from Peter at Book Haven sounds like a much nicer one, since she got him to offer his hacking services.

Ino was late to work at the clinic today, but the nurses seemed okay with it, and at -- oh -- Caritas, Jake was ignoring Tino and talking to Jaina about him instead.

. . . look, that's all the notes, can I go now? I've got a dozen stoves of Jammin' Jelly Donuts that really need to get served now, because I've still got to serve it about 150 more times . . . yes? Thank you. ThisisLaceyBurrowssigningoffnightFandom!
