Fandom Radio: Tuesday August 17th

It's Tuesday night of the last week of the Summer Session, and this is Rose Hathaway coming to you for your nightly round up on WTFH. I've got stuff to go do so without further ado...

School

Okay! Classes. Everyone's favourite. Professor Skywalker had his Sneakiness class wander through a ship to find and turn off a shield generator as the final. Being the TA and all, Anemone probably knew where the generator was but no one asked her. Instead people tried to sneak and wondered wtf was up with the map. This Artie character had Applied Dadaism say goodbye to summer by...beating up the ocean.

Yeah...let me know how that worked out for you.

Gym! Yay gym! I missed your sanity last week. Anyway, they played dodgeball cause duh. It's gym. And this squirrel thinks the teacher is evil. Okay, back to the weird ass names. Practical Crisis Problem Solving had to plan a three course meal for their final. Ooh, that's evil and awesome. There was discussion of killing and butchering, planning of desserts, fretting over taboo foods, salads, and panicking. As you do. But it all worked out with presenting the meals to The Doctor who, I'm guessing, ate a lot.

Professor Farnsworth went more insane than usual when he made his Math class make something useful out of junk. Poor Lindsay was there. Last class, Lindsay! You made it! Dr. Freaking Horrible lived up to his name cause he gave Leadership a written exam. And then his minion thanked him for it. *shudder* Uncool, dude.

The Librarian was in a pissy mood at the Library. Maybe he should've visited Summer and her snacks in Study Hall to cheer up.

Dorms

Maladicta whose parents obviously hated her caught up on tricks in the Salle with Alexander before issuing a sparring challenge which he accepted. As you do. Quinn told Maladicta to stab the dummy harder. Cause Quinn's an expert on these things? I don't know.

Effy owes me brownies but she took time out from preparing them to hang out on the Deck this afternoon and ignore Faith who wanted to talk cloud shapes. Faith's a student now? I thought she was a teacher or something. Huh. Puck assumed Effy was tanning and then taunted her about the chainsaw he got the other week. Or this squirrel is on crack. I don't even know.

It's Tuesday, and so the Reserves met and nommed on their normal cookies while Jak told them they had to learn not to suck. Inspiring. Totally. There was a discussion and sparring as well as Zack and Jak and Kennedy to talk to. Shockingly, no one punched Jak in the face for being an ass, but Tara showed up to surprise Kennedy after she turned human again in her room.

Cabins

I bet all the evacuated town people and teachers are just completely enjoying their little return to nature at the cabins this week. Constable Fraser started his day off well by tripping over his dog in his alcove. They're not really all that big, are they. And Mary got to work cleaning the Tick's living room and chatted with Price about how awesome the cabins really are.

Townies

Just the who visited what, who's working where, and whose business is about to go bankrupt cause no one ever shops there now, and then your nightly gossip will be all done. Loki wouldn't dare the inside of the MHA cause of the bugs so he went for a swim. Hinata cleaned up after her kitten at Book Haven, and Ino tried not to nap at Covent Garden. Aww, don't worry, Ino, I bet you could've sneaked a nap in. Who'd know? And besides, it couldn't have been much worse than the next notes because now we have the 'do they really get paid for this?' trio: Raven looked up Rumor Gal trailers at Dite's, Ariel was dancing with the mannequins at Pixie Dust, and Shunsui was drunk at T&C. Right on.

Azula distracted Jono from his work at Groovy Tunes to catch up and hear about Didi not being a cat anymore - congrats, Didi! - while Jaina and I hung out at the gym. Sookie baked pies at Luke's which shockingly attracted Bobby and his attempts at flirtation. The Perk saw flirtation too in the guise of Hannibal and Kate who was pretending to care about Hanny's weird sleeping habits.

Luke Skywalker came into town to hang out at J, GOB and entertain a whole wagontrain of relatives - Ben, Rory and Juliet, Leia, and Jaina all show up to get hugs, admiration, a sounding board, and annoyance. You know, respectively. Late enough in the evening that the poor little squirrel is still out of breath, Triela was wandering around the park all dizzily. Scully did the First Aid checking on her thing and Momoko observed that it wasn't normal.

Okay, last few notes, and we're all done. Robin was just thrilled to be working at Caritas today but gave Henry tequila shots and listened to him bitch anyway. And maybe Dr. Hawkeye had too many tequila shots last night cause he spent the day napping in the Clinic - See, Ino? You would've been totally fine!

And that's it for tonight! Tune in next week for my last broadcast in Fandom. It's crazy, I know. Night, everyone. If you're in the cabins? Don't worry. The bears rarely stop by.
