Fandom Radio, Monday, June 19, 2006

Rory: Hey, people, animals and various sundry characters of Fandom. It's Rory Gilmore at the mic tonight, and I am joined by my good friend and colleague, Prince Vlad the Fourth, otherwise known as my puppy, Vladdie. Say hi to everyone, Vladdiekins.

Vladdie: *sounds of terribly cheerful yipping*

Rory: Very good. Um, and just so everyone knows? I don't speak puppy. So for all I know, he totally just called you all very rude names. But it sounded cute, right?

Workshopping, where you all workshopped like things that work and shop

In Arts and Crafts, the kiddies made dreamcatchers which they later displayed. And they also...okay, hang on. I have to cover the puppy's ears for this.

*shuffling, and then whispering* They were scrapbooking together. Dirty!

*in her normal voice* So anyway, in Baking, people worked in pairs - Willow and Anders, Jude and Maia, and Sam and Stark. And hey, I think everyone lived! Good day all around.

In Clockwork, they read handouts and then built clock mechanisms. And then Archie - hi Archie! - totally wanted to outfit his tiny ships with wee bitty motors so he can have a wee bitty battle in the pond. How cute! Also, just FYI, people? I totally never stole any yacht of Archie's. Just in case anyone was curious.

Vladdie: *wee puppy barking that probably means something along the lines of "Bullshit omg!"*

Rory: That's right, sweetie. No boat stealing from me.

In the library, Veronica and Bel...confronted Tyler. Buh? *shuffling papers* Okay, so this says something about how Tyler used to blow things up and had a club devoted to fighting...like boxing or something? But apparently he's going to be a good boy. He'd better be, or I'm going to have to be in there every Monday with like, a tranq gun in case he starts getting ideas about mixing explodey things with my...um, the school's books.

Vladdie: *insistent yipping*

Rory: Yes, Vladdie, I know, but maybe I can find some kind of special tarp or cage or something to seal off the books so they'll be okay.

Oh. And in other news, Vice Principal Pierce held office hours and Isabel stopped by, and in the cafeteria, Pip and Pippi shot the breeze.

Dorms, where everyone dormed like dorming things that dorm about

Bel was an early bird this morning, and stopped by to chit and chat with Veronica before they hit the library to out the book-blower-upper.

And Peter who is English worked on a design for an actual swordwork salle today. Ooh! That'd be great, even if I've never played with a real sword. The Halliwell girls had some somber sisterly bonding time, and Piper, I just want to say that I'm kind of okay with the truth spell thing since I don't remember anything except what I wrote down and...yeah. It's very, very okay with me. Just getting that out there.

Vladdie: *wee puppy curious noises*

Rory: Shhhhhhh, or I won't let you play with that speck of lint you're eyeing

Ahem. Um, anyways, Pippi would like to learn Squirrel, and told River all about it. Lyta was in her room, and Aeryn's feeling better. Aeryn wasn't feeling good? Oh no. I hope you're feeling better, sweetie.

Vladdie:*deeply, deeply confused yipping*

Rory: Not you. Aeryn didn't feel good, so she gets a special name. Shh.

Sakurazaki hung out with Jude and Ranma, and Jamie sent and received email. Molly and Cam made up a story and that is approximately sixteen kinds of cute, Ranma made a list, and Nadia and Walter spent the day at the Arms. In other news of the cute 'n coupley variety, Veronica stopped by to see Archie.

Okay, so I'm totally throwing my mom a baby shower on Wednesday. And I guess people can come if you didn't get an invitation and you know my mom, especially as I've never done something like this before. And hey, he's going to be the first Fandom baby! I hope my little brother doesn't have, like, a beak. That'd be weird. But I'd love him anyway. We could call him Beaky.

So, Isabel fed everyone in the fourth floor common room, and the food was tapas food.

*coughing*

Um. Which sounds really good, actually. So, um -

Vladdie: *random barking and sound of scrabbling claws on radio equipment, followed by the very loud and sudden playing of "Let's Get It On."*

Rory: VLADDIE! NO. BAD PUPPY. *music abruptly ceases after sounds of flailing* If you wanted to tell people about the common room, you just had to ask.

Vladdie: Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip, yip, yipyipyip, yipyip, ruffyipyip.

Yipyip woof yipruff, arfyip woffwoofyip! Arfyip, woof woof woof yip woof yipyip arfyip, ruffruff yipyipruff.

Aroof, yip yip, yip, arooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Rory: ...very good, Vladdie. I have no idea what he just said, but he seems awfully earnest, right? In any case, Isabel cooked, and approximately eleventy billion people came because yay food.

Elsewhere, Willow...made a spreadsheet. I think I kind of love you, Willow. Marie talked to her about sneakiness, which is something at which I, too, excel. And English Peter came by and talked to Willow about the World War II planes at the museum yesterday, and to Marie about the game on Saturday. Oh yeah - um...congrats John and Cam's team! I have no idea which team that is, but go that team! Oh, and, um, yay you other guys. too.

So, Cedric and Jack were adorable with...tapas. *coughing* And Peter sent email to Zero.

Town, where people...towned like towning things?

Vladdie: Yip, yip yi -

Rory: SHH. NO MORE TALKY FOR YOU. So, anyway, Granny opened the clinic in the morning, and Dr. Goodchild opened it at night.

In Giles' shop, Clark and Lana make with the small talk. At Luke's, Tim wrote a letter, and sadly, no one took advantage of Mr. Blackadder's good mood at All and Sundries. Meanwhile, Town Hall was open.

Slow day, 'cause Cafe Fina was empty, and in Caritas, Clark had a watermelon wine cooler. Wow. That sounds really good. Usually I get a Shirley Temple, but maybe it's time to bump it up to an alcoholic drink. Becky's gross boyfriend told Jarod about his woe, and Tyler, who BETTER NOT BLOW UP THE LIBRARY OKAY?, told Alec about his day.

And that's it, guys! Say night-night, Vladdie.

Vladdie: Yip!

Rory: Right. So enjoy your...tapas, your non-stolen yachts, and your girly drinks, Fandom! Night!

"Aw, thank you, Rory! And I could totally teach you how to use a tranq gun!"

Willow then wondered if maybe she should've sent an email with that instead.

"Hello, Rory," Archie told the radio sleepily. "Would you prefer I say you borrowed the boat?"

"I 'm not going to blow up the library," Tyler grumbled.
