Fandom Radio: Tuesday June 1
Hi Fandom, it's Rose Hathaway again because this is Tuesday and you set your radio to WTFH cause you wanted all the nightly gossip. Hey, it's cool. You don't need to deny it.
SCHOOL
Okay, so Flight & Flying took a freighter through an asteroid belt today, but at least they got to practice first before being shot at. Any questions could be directed to Anemone the TA or Anakin who was teaching when Leia-the-kitty wasn't attacking his cloak or turning human again. Oops, bad place for it in the middle of class. Bobby also made his excuses for missing class last week.
The Frenchies and their teacher got an easy class today watchingthe meta for Amelie. Glass-Breaking Class talked about what we owe people in authority. *snort* I'm trying not to be a smart ass here. So the kids all made lists of authority figures in their lives. I didn't know Emma thought anyone had authority over her, but she and Claire were there to TA anyway. Kerrigan was there too. No word on who's an authority to her. Well, the Headmistress, I guess.
Reno split his Rookie class into two groups - the rookies and the teachers. If you go by the titles - and I do - the teachers have a week to teach their rookies something. Ben and Tahiri determined that Ben could teach eating ice cream or flying while Ino was curious about what Chloe was planning to teach. Everyone paired off to figure out their week, and Elena and Makita were around to TA. Elena hit up Reno after class to tell him how she thought the class was stupid. It's good you guys have a nice working relationship. The Marine Mammals went to on a field trip to the aquarium today to meet - you guessed it! marine mammals. Shocking, I know. You can sit down if you need to. Summer chose to visit with the seals.
Aquaman worked on his memoir during office hours today. Anemone prepared to clean the library's Special Collections. And the main office was open. There. Three things you didn't know 30 seconds ago.
DORMS
On to the dorms and hopefully more interesting stuff. *sound of notes rustling* Maybe. Bod was in his alcove nursing a headache so Kate made him put a shirt on - hey, don't put clothes on him. Sex is good for headaches. I totally read it in Cosmo once. Okay, no sex in the cabins, but you could find a place! Leda was sending email, and Karla was making a mess with her dresses. Karla, sweetie, we don't have maids here.
Some chick named Dandelion...that's a name? Really? Wow, her parents must have hated her. Anyway Dandelion was rocking out outside of Godzilla cabin. The squirrels here are throwing nuts and scolding at her name so I'm guessing the ones who were listening to her play didn't so much like it. Ooh, and they got yelled at and threatened. Good job, chica, get on the squirrels' bad side. Claudia wandered by and asked for another out of tune song, but before that happens there's confusion with introductions. As probably happens a lot when someone is called Dandelion.
Kurt stops by to inform Claudia that Dandelion is crazy. Maybe entertaining, but crazy. Robin - the frog one - and Dandelion established that they were neither a Viking nor a gargoyle. Good to know. Kurt scolds Robin for encouraging Dandelion because she might sing again. But having crazy time is okay. Yeah, I don't know Kurt at all, but I don't think Weed Girl is the only crazy one around here.
TOWN
In town news where no one is named Dandelion, looks like a Mr. Jack O'Neill said goodbye to the island today. I dunno if the island said goodbye back, but Claire was there and sad he was going.
For some weird reason, the reserves met at the shooting range at the Wellspring Arms to talk about guns and safety. ...isn't there a shooting range at the school? Like in the dorms? Maybe they all wanted a nice walk before mingling with their cookies - and honestly, guys, nothing says military like a nice cookie snack. Post-cookies, there was handgun shooting, and Jak, Kennedy, and Zack were all available to be chatted up. As was Cable. Only Zack took that opportunity though to talk about the reserves, Arthur.
Looks like if anyone was in the park at the right time, they'd've gotten a nice show of teacher ass when Drake turned human again right in the middle of the lake. Looks like you all missed out on that though. Sorry, next time maybe. Mitchell and Kate were uninterested in the wet and naked, choosing to meet instead at the Perk to chat over coffee about ballet and a gift for Jack. ...oops, I bet that was a surprise. Jack? If you heard that, forget it, okay?
And we have our who-opened-what rundown of joy. Hinata had tea at the bookstore. Ino was talking to flowers - do they talk back? - at Covent Garden. Loki had totally interesting files, I'm sure, at the MHA while Professor Gibbs practiced good policework at the Trooper Station. Didi made the mistake of arguing with Apu and ended up exiled to the front steps at T&C. Ooops. Least it wasn't raining.
Oz had picnic leftovers to share, and wow, I hope none of you got botulism from that. There was yet another animal-to-person situation at Dite's as Raven found herself human again but managed to clothe herself there before starting work. So whoever was in there got a show. Kris was paying more attention to the horses than the ravens when taking care of them at the Gig, and Mary had a slight dustbunny problem at the hotel. ... it seemed really nice when I was there at least? Sorry, that news probably isn't going to help business.
Ariel did something that seems a lot like work at Pixie Dust - reading fashion magazines. What happened to getting drunk and making softcore porn vids? Is that too old school? Sadly less risque was Lion-O eating pie at Cafe Fina. I hope that's less dirty anyway... I was at the gym cause it's a day ending in y, and Elena came in for a hot makeout session on the mats ...and wow, the squirrels were drunk again, yeah, there was no making out at the gym today. There might have been some at Luke's though as Sookie and Bobby squabbled over accurate portrayals of flying in outer space...or not. No making out in Fandom today. Get on that for next week, guys?
Robin and two dogs walked into the bar, and one of 'em tried to steal booze. The other one ducked? I don't know, I don't think I can save that one. Oooh, and Hawkeye, who I hear is charming and attractive played Go Fish with the nurses at the Clinic.
That's all I got for the night, people! Can there be more gossip and making out next week? That stuff is way more fun to report on. Anyway, have a good night, cuddle up to a person of the preferred gender and don't be a creeper.
