Fandom Radio: Tuesday May 25
Hey Fandom, it's Rose Hathaway again bringing you all the gossip of the day. You all are insane enough to decide you want me to report stuff all summer so here goes...
SCHOOL
Yeah, it's a Tuesday, so there were classes for you suckers who didn't graduate. Sorry, guys. Flight & Flying was today though so at least some of you had fun flying an F-16 on a practice run then air to surface which hopefully means something if you're in the class. Finally they had a dogfighting run which is the coolest by far. Shockingly Anakin was there to be talked to or Anemone if the teacher's too scary for you.
In Functional French, Mr. DeTamble had the class go through fashion magazines and choose outfits which sounds way more fun than a language class should be. They got to choose from a rack of clothes which confused the crap out of Rilla. She needed Effy's help - *snickers* - to find clothes that she didn't think were underwear. Right. It was probably more comfy talking to Effy than Mr. DeTamble about that.
The Breaking the Glass Ceiling class talk about if you should serve as an example or pull strings behind the throne. Can't you do both? Maybe that's what the class discussed when they talked about active and passive ways of changing things. Emma was there like the good little TA she is, but Kerrigan was there too. Since it's her class and all. Rookie class talks about vacations and what to do when it's cut short cause you find a lead or someone's kidnapped or you have to tail a coworker or someone's...behind on paperwork. Really? That's a concern? After the other ones, that seems kinda - silly. If the students had any questions, Reno was there to teach and Makita to TA.
Ooooh, Maritime Mammals got to go see otters at an animal rescue center. Awwwwww. I love otters. They're adorable. Summer was there if anyone wants to know who's responsible for the adorable creatures, and she lectured about the threats against them. In more musical news, Aquaman was singing in his office. And Anemone dealt with paperwork about home in the library.
DORMS
Ugh, thank god, school's over, now we're on to the awesome and way more gossipy dorms section which is going to be my favourite part forever and ever. The Reserves met cause it's Tuesday. They were mingling in the Danger Shop before running an obstacle course with target practice, obstacles, and escorting wounded people to safety. For Ben, the obstacle course was getting cookies since Tahiri decided his belonged to her today since she was grounded in her room last week. Fair logic to me. Also cookies.
Kennedy and Tara have a chat about how much the privacy in the cabins suck and if they should pick on the only guy in the cabin then gets a belated birthday present of a sword from Zack. Oooh, I missed your birthday too, Kennedy! I'm sorry. I was a bobcat. I'll make it up to you. Oh, and Jak and Zack were hanging out too, but no one wanted to talk to them.
We are living in the cabins this month, yeah, and that means there's not a ton of privacy like Kennedy and Tara realised. Since you guys have to listen to me for a few minutes, lemme just say that no matter how quiet you think you can be, everyone is going to know if you're fucking in the cabins. So, you know, don't.
Cassidy got up crazy early to make pancakes. On the fire which, damn, that's pretty impressive. Kyle and George were sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Okay, I'm kidding, they were doing that and talking about Kyle having been gone for a while.
Someone called Scully - I dunno if that's a girl's name or boy's name - was burning papers in the fire at Alligator cabin this evening. Bruce wanted to know if she - oh, hey, girl! - was burning evidence cause he just expects stuff like that. He also checked with Raven to make sure that he still knew her name. Hopefully Raven confirmed that, but she broke Scully's brain a little by telling her she - Raven - can teleport between dimensions. Well, that's what you get for not having marshmallows at a campfire. Tim Drake solved the marshmallow problem, but he's eating 'em all cause he has a bet or something. Don't get sick, Tim. That never turns out good.
TOWN
That's all for the dorms tonight. Let's go on to the 'who worked where' and who got visitors in the town. Loki's lounging at MHA, and Mina's working for real at the MCA before Tim came through to ask about vampire support groups. Uh, what? What kind of support are we talking at here? In the not really working news, Raven's napping at 'Dites, Hinata's trying not to nap at the bookstore, Ino's singing and dancing at the flower shop. Sookie's nomming down at Luke's and Lion-O is indulging in pie at Cafe Fina.
Seriously, squirrels, did you guys only stop by to take notes when people were on a break? Okay, this set is more boss-friendly. If you care. Or not.
Didi had naked librarian issues at T&C. If he'd needed clothes, he could have stopped by Pixie Dust to get some from Ariel. She also had a Christian visitor to chat with about cabin names. Gibbs and Angua were working hard at the Trooper Station as they argued about if paperwork was better or worse than getting shot. Seriously? That's even a question? One thing actually can actually kill you, and the other just bores you to death. Mary's got advertising issues at the hotel. Also working hard are Fiona at the law office, Jono at Groovy Tunes, Spock at Stark Industries, Tim at the comic book store, and Oz at Coyote Medicine. Oh yeah, and Dimitri and I were totally working hard at the gym and weren't pissy at all, thanks squirrels.
Robin and Tino were total geeks at Caritas as they argued over that big finale on Sunday. Less geekily, Robin and Deadpool argued over how many shots it would take her to dance on the bar - I'm guessing like 10. Unless you're Jaina and then just a few. Lightweight. And Price had to defend the creativity of his drink order to Robin.
Oh, hey, some guy called Hawkeye was at the Clinic today building a tongue depressor castle. Guess that's why you go to medical school. But then he had Shelley visiting him cause....her nipples were chafing.
Yep, that's the note we're going to end on tonight, guys. I'd apologise, but I'm too busy dying of laughter over here.
Night, Fandom!
