WTFH, Saturday 01/09

The broadcast kicked off with a classic piece of music, with Drake singing along. He even hit the high notes. "Good evening, Fandom, it's time for your Saturday Night Demon! And I just gotta say, I've gotten some pretty obscene phone calls today. Keep 'em coming.

School

The library was open for business, and Griff reported for his first day. Fiona -- who, by the way, is going to be my other TA, surprise! -- was nice enough to bring him breakfast and discovered he was reading banned books. Banned books? In this library? I'm going to have to have words with Henry the librarian if that's the case. Who, incidentally, was there and introduced himself to Griff.

Dorms

Jen Walters was kind enough to provide breakfast to the fifth floor this morning. Jacob was unfazed by her jolly greenness, and she explained how she went to Gamma Gamma High and got herself irradiated. Ino made sure Jacob wasn't a zombie, which is always a possibility around here. Mmmm, brains. She then got herself fed by Jen and caught up on classes. Jack Burton got an invite to help himself, and a hungover Leda discusses party planning with Jennifer.

One floor below, Jak with no C was searching for food. Hannibal hoped he would make breakfast, and Jak kindly told him to go make his own food. Wait, Jak, you can talk now? How'd that happen? Zack got offered a muffin, but he realized it worked better as a projectile weapon than actual food. Hannibal then offered Zack some dating advice for the babes in his life. Safe sex, whatever you do, kids. Safe sex.

Down on the second floor, Priestly was making some hot subs. Jonas introduced himself and there was talk of toasters. Blysse and Blind Seer talk to Jonas -- well, Blysse does, not Blind Seer -- about classes and DADA. Dinah is all green and be-winged and chatted with Jonas about newbies and giant veggies, two great things that taste great together. Priestly confused Blysse by telling her about tofurkey. Hey, wait 'til she finds out about tofurduken. That'll blow her mind. Dinah and Blysse discussed classes, and Dinah asked Priestly his fashion opinion on her green bodysuit and wings.

Back up to the fourth floor. The poor squirrels were getting winded going up and down the stairs. Anyway, Dru was in search of bad movies on TV. She found a disaster movie about a hurricane in Chicago, and told Bobby she won't be flashing him. Bobby laughed to hide his sorrow. Dru tried to teach Hayley how to play Spot the Victim. Bruce showed up to ruin the bad movie with logic -- like, you know, a hurricane in Chicago -- and Bobby told him it was bad scifi so it was probably filmed in Vancouver. Hayley giggled at Bruce, who politely asked how she was doing.

Elsewhere around the dorms, Ender played on the computer and got a coffee delivery from Ben. Sam and Andy hung out, but apparently the squirrel got distracted trying to get Ben's coffee, so it didn't mention what they were doing. Leto and Alice talked about phone calls and started making some of their own. The phone lines were buzzing today with Elena, Alice, Bobby, Jason, and Mulan all burning through their cell phone minutes. Claudia fiddled with her phone, and Marco showed up to tell her the phone wackiness has happened before.

Raven wasn't on the phone for a change of pace, since she was busy flailing about what to wear for her date. Diana returned and was happy to be free of cheeseballs. Raven told her about her date, and then the suitor in question was there to pick her up. Karla made a few calls and made plans to go flying with Dinah. Jon returned to Fandom and got a visit from Claire, during which they realize the phones were acting up. Roy and Bobby take advantage of the phone weirdness to start making prank calls. Bad, MiniDrake, bad. I approve. Penelope made some calls, then Hurley brought her brownies. Joan talked to Penelope about the calls, then went to visit Liir, who was prepping his room for their date. Bow chika bow wow.

Townies

Over at 33 Apocalypse, Jack of the O'Neill variety made breakfast and some phone calls. Paige asked him if he had plans for the day. The answer? Waiting for something weird to happen. Must be a day ending in Y. Jon dropped by and got an invite to a late Christmas dinner. Or an early one if it was for 2010. At the church, everyone's favorite angel in a trenchcoat was besieged by his voicemail. Henry did some surfing on the web before heading out to the library.

Open for business for the day were Groovy Tunes, manned by Hurley; Android's Dungeon, frogged by Robin; and the Arms Hotel, womaned by Ellie. John Sheppard was in town and at the Perk, and Ben showed up to tell him there will be no tongue action going on. I hope not, because that tiny blonde girlfriend of his looks like she would cut a bitch. Ronon tried to figure out of John got old or was a different version. Oh, Fandom. Emmett hoped to get a little of that tongue action from John, who states that his tongue belonged to Jaina.

Dinah practiced her mojo on the beach and chatted with Oz about Rock Con. Oooh, can we have a Disco Con? Please? Elena and Jacob had a date at Ching Tai and talked about cliff diving and his ex and her creeper boyfriend. Ching Tai was the happening place tonight, since Raven and Andy also went there for their daaaaaaaaaaaaaate. Ahh, young love.

Castiel finally had enough of his phone and had a hissy fit in the middle of the road, destroying his phone and lots of lights. Millie chastised him about the destruction, and if he really wants to work out that aggression, call me. Jaina had her second first day at work at Caritas. No word on anything involving tongues. Tina was making lewd calls much to the disgust of Bruce, who talked to Jaina about being new in town. Then John showed up and wanted to know what he had to do to get some service, and with all this talk of tongues we'll just let you imagine how it went from there.

And that's it for tonight. Good night, sleep tight, and keep your phones on vibrate.
