Fandom Radio, December 29
Evening, Fandom! Lacey Burrows here. Wow, who let me on the air without a copilot, huh? Well, it's not my fault someone's off enjoying herself on a tropical island somewhere. But at least you've still got me! That's great, right?
*awkward acorn-nibbling and rum-sloshing sounds*
Don't get all excited at once, now.
Dorms
Since there's nothing to report in school news, let's find out what you crazy kids were up to in the dorms, huh? Those of you who're actually here, anyway. First of all, there -- ooooh. Pretty flames. *thunk* Ow! Yes, I'm sure I can read the notes and stare at my portable Yule Log at the same time, thank you. Kate was in the gym practicing ballet this morning, and up in his room Jak my Beaver Buzz buddy got a call from home about someone he needed to see. Hannibal was in bed sick and chugging cough syrup -- oh, don't do that, you'll only get addicted. Some nice organic chicken broth ought to -- *thunk* Ow. Jason was channel-surfing and eating a sandwich up in the fourth floor common room this afternoon, and Raven stopped in on her way to work at the . . . adult store. And warmed up for that by making out with Jason. Sometime when she wasn't sucking face with Jason, she talked to Leto about Ghanima's classes -- even though there aren't any right now -- and her trying to learn self-defense. The squirrels seem disappointed to note that Leto and Jason didn't make out, even though Jason likes Leto's eyes, but they did discuss addictive substances like . . . spice and vampire blood. Wait, you're sure these are addictive -- Fandom. Right. Going with it. Ellie showed up for the TV but stayed for the making out with Jason. Presumably not at the same time as Raven. Wow. Heh. Kids these days. The Dirty Jobs marathon Jennifer Walters was watching in the fifth floor common room tonight, though, was a different kind of job from the ones Jason was pulling earlier today. We assume.
So who's going to New York, huh? I am. It should be interesting. Beka must be going too, since she was studying maps of the city. I am not assuming she's planning to take over the city like Hayley assumed she was, though. Chuck's back, and this broadcast seems empty without Katchoo having a scathing remark about that, but I am far too nice for such things, thank you. Sam was far too nice, and came to check up on him, and Raven came by to see how much help she could be, too.
Town
Things were quiet for Hinata at Book Haven where, surprise surprise, she was reading. Quiet for Mina at MCA, too, and Raven at Dite's Decadent Delights, and Kris Furillo at the Gig. At the Trooper Station, Vimes and Gibbs discussed the special and unique phenomena this island tends to get, how to deal with wizards, and other things you won't hear around the water cooler at any other law enforcement agency. Except maybe Dog River's. Good news for people who worry about unnamed animals: Castiel decided to name his cat Angelbane, and feed it tuna. Mary was in a good mood at the Arms, where Max showed up to pick Aphrodite up for a date. *rustling* Late-breaking news says they also got back late tonight and . . . had more fun. Jaina was at the bakery, letting her coffee get cold while she did some reading and talked to Kyle about what she was studying. That's just asking for someone to try and steal your coffee, like John Sheppard tried to do. Elsewhere, Karla and Emma were enjoying the onsen, and also possibly the seven swans that came swimming through.
*chittering* I have never drunkenly stumbled into Caritas to sing about gold rings. I don't know what you're talking about.
*derisive squirrel laughter*
And that, Fandom, is all the news we have for you tonight. Wow, that was kind of lonely. Hopefully things will be busier next week. Anyway, Lacey Burrows signing off, and hoping you all have a great night. Hope to see you in New York City tomorrow!
