Fandom Radio, Monday, December 28

Sam: Uh, hey, good evening, Fandom. I hope everyone is enjoying their break and staying safe.

Andy: And had a great Christmas or other winter holiday.

Sam: Judging from the stack of notes, it looks like a lot of people might still be at home, so that whole staying safe thing goes out to them too.

Andy: Still enjoying the holidays then.

Sam: We can only hope. Unfortunately.

School Stuff

Sam: Classes are still on break, and unlike last week, all of the teachers are enjoying their vacation. Or, they're taking their vacation, at least.

Andy: Good for them. Hopefully, they'll come back all mellow and ready to teach.

Dorm Stuff

Andy: Bobby's back in Fandom and in the dorms, and discovered that time didn't go as fast here as it did where he was. Okay that's just freaky.

Sam: That's actually happened to a few people, if I'm remembering right. It's another Fandom Thing to get used to.

Andy: I'm not going to think about it too hard 'cause I don't want it to give me a headache. Sam here took Scout for a walk and had a vision. You did?

Sam: Yeah, but it's okay. It's nothing for you to worry about.

Andy: You sure?

Sam: I think so. I mean, I think I helped, but all I can do now is wait. So there's nothing you need to worry about.

Andy: We can talk about it after we're finished here. This afternoon, Didi decided it was a perfect time for a swim in the basement pool and convinced Jono to join her. There was flirting and kissage, but when the pool started steaming, they decided to get out. Yeah, that's probably a good idea.

And up in the third floor common room this evening, Zayne was watching a Mexican soap opera. Dude, those are so much fun to watch! Especially if you're stoned!

Sam: It doesn't bother you that you don't know what they're saying?

Andy: Nah, you just make up your own storyline. And besides it all seems very very important from the way they say things. Mirax stopped by to hang out and got very confused by the soap opera, especially since neither she nor Zayne speak Spanish. No one's taught them how you're supposed to watch them, I guess.

Sam: Obviously, they need you to show them the way.

Town Stuff

Sam: Jack O'Neill was trying to figure out how to say goodbye to people since he's going home for a little while when a gremlin took care of things for him and sent him out to sea. Uh, that doesn't sound very good. I hope he can make it back okay.

Andy: I didn't think gremlins could sail.

Sam: Neither did I. That's kind of a scary thought. Jak without a C in his name hung out at the beach, and Ender was working hard at Stark Industries when Ben came in for his weekly visit, although Ender still pretended to be surprised to see him out of his room.

Lacey was in a good mood at Luke's Diner, and when Tully came in and complained about how cold it is, she told him how this is nothing compared to the weather in Canada.

Worf was having some trouble messing with the Christmas lights at Wellspring Arms, and Aphrodite was zapping stupid customers at Dite's Decadent Delights, until Max came by with a belated holiday gift. The other Max - the one who's a rabbit - wanted to know about the store, and got a naughty lollipop to help him understand, and Captain Price stopped in, and was skeptical at Aphrodite. Skeptical about what, I don't know. That she's a real goddess? That her store is allowed to sell dirty stuff?

Andy: Maybe all of the above?

Sam: Yeah, I guess it could be the combination of everything. Tino was annoyed at Adrian when he showed up for his evening at Caritas, possibly for his lack of work ethic since Effy ended up having to get behind the bar and make a drink for herself. Kris came in for a drink too, but it doesn't say if she ever got served.

And Millie made baked goods for all of the nurses at the clinic. This says the nurses didn't appreciate them though, which proves that we may have great doctors and healers around, but the nurses need some help.

Andy: Maybe the nurses ate too much at Christmas and are still full?

Sam: If you were full, wouldn't you still be happy to have baked goods for later?

Andy: Me? For sure. Always like to have munchies on hand.

Sam: The nurses probably don't get the munchies, but they could still save them for later too.

Andy: Or send them to the radio station to share with those people who do the broadcasts.

Sam: Heh, that might be a little too nice. But we could go see if we can find baked goods of our own, if you want?

Andy: Sounds like a plan. And you can tell me about your vision.

Sam: I...I guess. If you really want me to.

Andy: I do. But only over brownies.

Sam: Normal brownies?

Andy: I take the fifth.

Sam: We'll see about that then. Good night, Fandom.
