Fandom High Radio, Thursday, November 19th
Good evening, Fandom. It's that time of the week once more: this is Arthur Pendragon for WTFH radio with the Fandom radio squirrels. I have been listening to some off-island broadcasts recently, and I hope this will help your grasp on the evening news.
*chittering*
I'm not sure what 'received pronunciation' means, but the squirrels have acquiesced to indulge mine from now on. Right. On to the school notes.
Sam spent his day exploring the vast ends of the internet in the library today. From what I've found, that is a dangerous activity leading to more than questionable ideas, but it is Sam's life. Raven volunteers to aid him in chasing away his sorrows. I can only assume this is through consolation of some kind. Chuck continues to serve as a horrible 'role model'--
*chittering*
No, I haven't been listening to Doctor Phil, but I'm sure he's an excellent physician. Anyway, he purports to make Sam's internet thing worse. Ethics class hands out babies for the student to tend to. Wasn't it Woklings last time? Here's a tip: do not let any of your friends entice you into taking them to a bar. It is irresponsible. Master Anakin shares the details of the assignment, during which a concerned Kyle checks on Bobby. Emma and Azula rabbit on about the pointlessness of the exercise, but it does not stop Master Anakin from announcing the pairings for it. Angela Martin and McCoy, Bobby and Elena - I hope whatever ails Bobby won't get in the way, Ellie and Jonas, Kyle and Emma - good luck, Kyle, Hayley and Liir, Francine and Karla... Well, at least we know that child will do well.
Anyway. Katchoo and the Lady Morgana-- HA! Feeling those motherly instincts yet, Morgana?
...
Heee. ...That's actually kind of terrifying.
Maron and Azula, Raven and Tara, Yuffie, Elle and Parker-- and Rose has two foisted on her. I hope they're not fussy. Raven and Tara serve as TAs, Master Anakin is there, and that's that.
Moving on to Driver's Education, we watched a movie--
*chittering*
--a film about car crashes. With Ziva. Swordplay concerns itself with the concept of using two blades at once. A tricky one, as evidenced by the... film, don't think I don't see you looking, squirrels, but given time and practice, it is not insurmountable. Despite what Illyria may have to say about tentacles--
*chittering*
I am absolutely not going into the details of that conversation, so you can forget about it. Vice Principal Deadpool had a few things to say about Mat's woefully inadequate cursing, too. I'll keep an ear out. Might shape him up to be something yet. Zack and I were present, along with Vice Principal Deadpool. Logic class solved some puzzles, with logic, presumably. Lady Elizabeth gave a lecture, the class got to it, and what ensued was a discussion about how useful riddles are as learning tools. I suppose they might work; in many cases, a smack upside the head might be more useful. Spock is there as a teaching assistant, and Lady Elizabeth rounds it all out.
Finally, Professor Summer discussed the ocean plants today, there was an opportunity to ask questions, and Professor Summer herself was present. She could also be found considering her email in her office, another act I've found tends to lead to such horrible things as smileys or advice columns.
Professor Drake took advantage of the Ethics infant deluge by offering to take care of any wayward children. Might I suggest speaking to Maron, for example? Not to cast any aspersions on her partner, but they may welcome the help. And last but not least, Professor Mohinder used his computer for a far less auspicious purpose than the internet: notes.
Speaking of which, that brings us to the DORM notes.
Bobby has returned to the island early, Kate ensures that he's all right, which lasts right up until Sookie comes in. There's no need to dwell on anyone's private emotions in a radio broadcast, so we'll move on to the TOWN.
Sir Dani takes a run in the park before returning to the station to discuss the staff with Sir Ray. Maron lacks enthusiasm for her work today, while Katchoo-- *snicker* --tends to her terrifying child. Really. Just let Morgana have it. She's the most-- *snicker* --motherly person I know-- Heee.
Jennifer works the law office, while Tara finds the time to sing to her child at her place of work. This disturbs Diana deeply. From what I've seen, Tara is probably one of the least terrible parents in this scheme, if it's any consolation. It also disturbs Kennedy of the crossbow. Priestly has 'veggie burgers' at the diner, whatever those might be, until he's interrupted by Dinah and her veritable smorgasbord of chatter. In more surprising news, Hoshi spent the day arguing with her cook, and the Angel Castiel shared some interesting viewpoints today. About resurrection, and why it is generally not a very good idea. He is there to be spoken to; Chuck wishes to know how often he's asked to raise the dead, Didi is sure no one gets it, and Sam is simply annoyed at the lack of information on the topic.
I think that may be for a reason.
Tahiri and Ben took time for a date, while on the other side of town, Rose attempted to fob off her children on Dimitri. I'd hate to say 'this is what you get', but... Anyway. Jack O'Neill is surprised by an amount of turkey basters at his place of work. So surprised, in fact, that he absolutely had to make his way to Caritas to talk to Ben and presumably partake of drink. Physician Simon's struggle with the nurses continues elsewhere.
Finally, the weather forecast, which I've found is customary. It will be 53 degrees Fahrenheit today, with a good chance for heavy rain and wind, possibly a quarter of an inch of precipitation-- in Exeter.
*long pause*
*pause continues*
*pause... ends*
Yes, well, I really doubt that Devon is of any interest to those of our listeners living in Maryland, squirrels. You will not make this mistake again next time. Is that understood?
*chittering*
Good. Good night, Fandom, and I think we can conclude we shuold all try to avoid spells of random weather. Or squirrels. And don't go to Exeter unless you want to get your hair wet.
