Fandom Radio, Friday, October 30th
'Twas the night before Halloween
And all across the town
Not a creature was stirring
Except to set up tricks to cause frowns
The costumes had been bought
And laid out with care
For the celebrations tomorrow
That soon would be there
But notes had been brought
To the station filled with booze
And I'm going to read them
I'm Jim, and this is the news
We begin as always
With news from the SCHOOL
Where if you pay attention
You might end up being smarter than a fool
In my class we spoke
Of great circles of stone
And of guys who might buy them
For their wives at home
There were notes and questions
For discussions numbering three
And of course opportunities
To talk to my TA or to me
Engineering Math was about
Forces that attract
But don't tell Dean Barney
Because that's stealing his act
After a lecture there was
A lab to build devices
And a chance to ask questions
And hope the answer suffices
In the class to Win Friends
An alarm was clanging
And the message was clear
"Don't leave a bro hanging!"
The students took notes
Then tried out high fives
And Barney was there
To make sure they were alive
Studio Art took pumpkins
And they got to carving
And now I want pumpkin pie
Your host is kind of starving
The library was opened
By Jono, who decorated
And had help from Anemone
The look was highly rated
Two clubs met today
Newspaper and Student Council
Where people could mingle
And talk about the future... I don't have a rhyme for "Council."
Mr Durden's office
Was open to guests
And Tony Stark stopped in
And filed informational requests
Now we turn to the students
All snug in their rooms
We're talking about DORMS
Where slacking blooms
In the stables this morning
Ed changed from a horse
Back to a human
(He brought some clothes, of course)
Tony awoke to with a smile
For he had good news
To share with a costumed Dinah
When she came by to schmooze
In the sixth floor kitchen
Were Merlin and Francine
Readying themselves
To be party catering machines
Down in her room
Dinah had her costume and candy
When Jak stopped in
He seemed to think that was just dandy
Karla brought cookies
And shock that Dinah wasn't a bird
But you have to admit
That costume would be a little absurd
Ben was working hard
On Jono's costume
When Karla stopped by
To chat in his room
Then Tahiri came by
And they arranged to go bowling
Which isn't a hot date
According to recent polling
Beka became a dog
In the possession of George Cooper
Sookie talked animals to Bobby
Who's in a costumeless stupor
No, that's not really the right word for it. But it does rhyme, so give me a break.
Over in Griff's room
There arose such a clatter
Because Karev wasn't home
So bouncing on his bed didn't matter
If you listen closely
You might hear a gong
That means it's time for TOWNIES
So let's move along
There were costumes on sale
At Pixie Dust and Things Reborn
Where Castiel bought nothing
And Francine found a hat that could be worn
Hurley was with the flowers
And Lily with the paints
Liir with the books
And on comics, Chloe had complaints
Arya opened Coyote
And the park hosted the Reserves
Where there was food and posters and club heads
Who you could bring cookies or strawberry preserves
Mary was on Facebook
All day at the Arms
Roy was late at the station
Which caused no alarms
Captain Jack was on radio
Playing nothing but boy bands
Making Deadpool and Elena call in
Both issuing commands
Aphrodite pondered her costume
Over at Decadent Delights
When Karla brought homemade cookies
That could cause genuine frights
Marion was in the back
At Caritas tonight
While Geoffrey and Sophie
Talked about a masseuse's delight
The clinic was open
For a staff celebration
But Mina stayed up front
Manning her station
Ben and Tahiri
Had their bowling date
And the rules they made up
Just sound first rate
And that's all for me
Here at the radio station
So Happy Halloween to all
And to all beware any horrible abberations
And all across the town
Not a creature was stirring
Except to set up tricks to cause frowns
The costumes had been bought
And laid out with care
