Fandom Radio, 15th September 2009
*sounds of dragging*
Hey, let go of me, we're coming along.
*chittering*
You want me to read the notes? Can Hobbes read too?
*more, somewhat belwildered, chittering*
Of course tigers can read!
*still more chittering*
Fine, but he's staying here.
Hi there, you're listening to Fandom Radio. I'm Calvin and this is Hobbes, and we've just been kidnapped by insane tiger snacks...
*BONK*
OW! Squirrels. Insane squirrels. So I guess I'm reading you the news.
*chitter*
And getting rum out of it.
School, where I didn't have classes today.
Sucks to be you if you did.
Especially sucks if you were in Creative Genre, as that was during first period. Professor Rick lectured on Galaxy Quest versus Space Battles, as everyone with any brains knows the correct answer is Spaceman Spiff. The class discuss whether they like science fiction movies or not. Professor Rick is there to answer questions, and so's his Helen the TA.
Fandom versus the Real World are all about animal transformations, and boy I could tell you about a transmorgification accident or two that certain unnamed tigers caused. Professor Aeryn passes around pictures and kittens, and possibly pictures of kittens. She sticks around after class, probably with bottles of Maalox and booze if I know teachers, and I do.
World Wars in the Media are all about seminial examinations on the futility of modern warfare. They get lectured, watch some clips of movie adaptions, and get all analytical in their discussions. Dinah is the TA, and Professor Mitchell is there to be Professor Mitchell. Deep man, deep.
They make stir-fry in Anyone Can Cook, which is a very misleading class name. Professor Colette demonstrates instead of lecturing, and then lets students loose with knifes and fire to make their own, which always ends well. She's around with the cooking sherry to keep her company, and Priestly and George are the TAs.
Rounding off the school day is Sex Thru The Ages, where apparently Professors Jim and Nathan got their drinking on before class, because after the lecture on Indian artwork, they set the class to making dirty sculptures out of play-doh. Talk about your double standards, when I do that I get detention. The Drunken Professors are their own TAs.
Professor Anakin was in his office with baby pictures. He got visits from Raven and Karla, one was voluntary, one wasn't. You get to guess which.
Professors Summer and Fred were also in their offices, and the Guidance Consellor was in. Professor Tyler and Azula stop by to see him.
Young Entrepreneurs meet to discuss product ideas, finally settling on class memorabilia because nostaligia is always good for a buck. Turtle and Jack Preist talk over donuts, and Professor Deadpool is the advisor.
Dorms, they don't have a loser section, CORDELIA.
In the wee hours the Second Floor Common Room sees person or persons unknown setting up a bra trap, clearly this is what happens when you wake up that early on a school day.
Various places throughout the day see campaign posters from Jennifer Walters and Triela. Personally, I'm voting for whoever's running on a Free Frosted Sugar Bombs in common rooms platform.
Meanwhile, Azula is in her room, looking over notes.
In the Fourth Floor Common Room, Hayley is bored and unaware of who the celebrites in the magazines are. Clearly the paparazzis have failed in their jobs. She and Triela then have a deep and meaningful about personhood and robot arms. And haven't we've all been there? In a complete change of pace, Haley then offeres to set Elle Bishop up with Jason Stackhouse. As you do.
Rose is dozing in her room when she gets a phone call, as well as visits from Triela on the campaign trail, and Alex, whose not the center of the world.
Going behind the dorms, instead of smokers, we have people with broken weapons. And pixy stix. That's a weird yet delicious combination. Dinah bugged Jak about video game scores, before trying to steal Illyria's sword and eyeing off Worf's. Dirty?
Then people talked about what they'd do without weapons. Try not to die would be my guess. Apprently Ino and Azula are fans of retreat and assasination, remind me to avoid them, espeically if they start cat-fighting. Ben and Tahiri bragged about using force, way to be bullies, guys. Another thing Azula is a fan of is Treila stabbing people....okaaaaay. Ino and Jennifer chatted, and Illyria says she is a weapon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Dinah and Azula talk some about retreat, and Dinah introduces Azula to TV. Oh you poor deprived thing, Azula. Not even a girl deserves to be cut off from TV.
The next suject of conversation is weapons repair. Ben and Tahiri know some very sketchy workmen, considering the length of time it'd take for theirs.
Also, Zack, Arthur, Merlin and Leto are all there so there's no need to panic on that front.
Jono plays an emo-guitar in his room, and Jean comes by to indoctrinate him into the cult of cheer. Run, Jono, run. Triela continues campaigning. Keep that nose to the grindstone.
A crabby Elena is also in her room, where she's visited by a restless Rose, her roommate Spock, and the everpresent Triela. I'm telling you, Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, they're a sure-fire vote buyer.
Yakko is reading wikipedia. All of it. Yet, I'm the one people call weird.
Back in the Fouth Floor Common Room, Aravis is a letter writing insomniac.
Town, which apparently needs to be nailed down.
Over at MHA Loki is playing on a trampoline, sounds normal enough, Daisy is very admiring, and talks about little blue Scottish theives. Because apparently that's what trampolines make her think of.
Gibbs is at the Police Station, taking a lot of reports about little blue men.
At Book Haven, Hinata has a new coat and a kitty, and Triela comes by while taking her campaign to the streets. Ino's looking for flowers at Covent Garden, so she's in the right place for that.
Raven's looking over books at Dite's, and Triela continues her quest for votes. While at the Perk, Cal is waiting for Elanor.
Over at Turtle and Canary, Didi clears the store by telling the little blue dudes how they'll die, and three guesses who comes by for votes.
And The Boards are all about auditions, and mockery in Cal's case. Sophie, Emma Frost, Castiel, Karla, Jack Burton, and Joanall audition. Zach wants to help with crew, and Harper is all about the costuming. There are off-stage refreshments, and Emma and Tony, who is not longer a tiger, discuss the play.
Fiona's working at Cabot & Associates, Lion-O's at Cafe Fina, Ellie did not give caffiene to the horse at the Gig, Jack Burton's at Photo Hut, and Tim's arguing with blue dudes at the Android's Dungeon. And all of the above got visits from Triela. Someone's been a busy little bee today.
At the Arms, Mary got a post card, while Oz lounged at Coyote Medicine, and my crazy roommate didn't work at Pixie Dust. I'm shocked at her lack of work ethic, really I am.
Professor Remus is in the Perk, going over lesson plans, and then met Mina.
It's Britney Spears night at Caritas, and Marshall is dancing. Kelly is excited, and Marshall thinks she talks fast.
Finally, at the clinic, the nurses aren't comfortable with McCoy. Which they shouldn't be. Doctors are not your friend, no matter what they say.
And that's the end of these notes, so I'll just be getting that rum you guys promised us.
*confused chittering*
What do you mean, where's the rum gone? It was right here a second...are there little blue guys stealing all the rum?
"Nae, there aint."
*angry chittering*
"Take that back ye filthy rodents!"
*angrier chittering*
"FEEGLE WHA HAE!"
*sounds of fighting*
Hey, careful you guys, you're going to break some-*STATIC*
