Fandom High Radio, Tuesday, August 26th
Good evening, Fandom. I am Arthur Pendragon, back on the air at the appropriate time with the news today. As always, the news is brought to you by some squirrels, so if you feel that we've reported something erroneously, feel free to take the message back through the proper channels.
Which is squirrels.
In case any of you were wondering, I had no hand in arranging this system.
SCHOOL
Nothing worthy of note happened at the school today, as there were no classes.
DORMS
Nothing worthy of note happened in the dorms today, because the fighting reserves didn't meet in the wake of the fall break.
*chittering*
Fine. There was something of note. I had breakfast with Merlin, although why the squirrels have chosen to report on it now is beyond me. Still, it makes the news more interesting.
Lois has returned from Germany. Yakko is first to greet her, and inquires after her visit with Professor Otto von Schnitzelhaveacoughyou'rebonkers. Leda wandered on by. As did Tahiri, although the room she wandered by belonged to Tara, to discuss matters of urgency such as the horrible squandering of literacy that is the internet. Also, Seregil has returned.
Oh, and Hurley was in the common room of the fifth floor. Eating. I'm sure you're all enthralled.
TOWNIES
A few things did occur in town today. I'm told Loki was in fact sprawling at the MCA. A well-earned duty for an angel. Sir Daisy brings him food to help him in this ardurous task. Layla attempts to sell clown paintings to the best of her ability - perhaps she could do with some sprawling - while Mary and Ino went to work without trouble. As did John and Tim, nevermind Oz, Marshall and aptly-named physician Bones at the clinic.
Jack got two visitors in the shape of Mina and the angel Castiel, while our employer found himself more taken with boats and the squirrels rowing them. I'm sure that went perfectly well. Again, if you have any complaints, take them to the squirrels. He met Alex while he was at it. I'm sure she was charmed. In other charming news, Max and Rachel's date. Dani learned firsthand the hazards of hiring a complete idiot as Vince stopped by for work on a day he wasn't even employed for. Likewise, Fred came to the staggering conclusion that Hinata was a student who possessed eyes. I am amazed, truly, by the competence shown here.
Raven opened the doors of Aphrodite's, where Merlin and Francine... returned some goods that had been misplaced.
As always, the theatre held rehearsals. Off stage, there were several conversations, such as Karla's attempts to foist her instruments of death onto Jack - my condolences - and sharing the details of her far less deadly web to Ender. There were some rehearsals, and then all practiced getting ready. Karla was confused about the make-up but gained Sophie's aid, Zack practiced actually being a good stage manager, and Karla, mercifully, chose to present him her web and not her cookies. They then took it to Geoffrey. Finally, Dinah attempted to reassure Zack about the lights. I'm sure that went well.
And I believe that's it. It continues to be quiet on Fandom Island, but have no fear, I'm certain that'll change come next week.
Remember to feed your squirrels; for WTFH, this is Prince Arthur Pendragon.
