Fandom Radio :: June 26th.

Turtle: Good evening, fellow Fandomites, and some previous Fandomites, too, as some people are arriving in town for the dance tomorrow! That's right! Turtle Wexler's still on your radio, reporting the news! And this is Valentine; she's new.

Valentine: Hi.

Turtle: Soooo, Valentine, did you get a date for the dance?

Valentine: No, did you?

Turtle: ...OH, like anyone wants to just hear about us, anyway, Val. Let's get onto the radio.

SCHOOL

Valentine: Today, Slacking met and, of course, Max was sleeping, and certain people who shall remain nameless drew on his face and then everyone told him their plans for the project while trying not to laugh at the fact that they drew on his face. I'd tell you more about it, but I'm slacking.

Turtle: TeeVee for Beginners wrapped things up by talking about the TV they had to watch for homework. Statements like that remind me of why I love this school. They watched one more show, for old time's sake, and Dinah totally brown-nosed and told Mr. Mitchell how awesome of a teacher he was. And then George wants to know if Dinah mentioned anything about hiiiiim.

Valentine: How to Dress like a Pop Star...dressed like pop stars for their last class, getting ready backstage and then doing a little turn on the catwalk.

Turtle: On the catwalk?

Valentine: Yeah, on the catwalk.

Turtle: Oh! They do their little turn on the catwalk!

...

Valentine: That's what I just said. Anyway, finally, for the final Rangering! class, the students had to show off their skills by solving a problem plaguing some Random Village. Minsc also thanked Edward for being a great TA.

Turtle: The Buffy who isn't the one that used to be my big sis had her last day at the library, looking around possibly checking for stuff but also having an existential crisis. It happens, sometimes.

Valentine: And Max walked around with all that crap still on his face. To his credit, it was a good look for him. You couldn't see his face that much.

Turtle: Mean.

Valentine: Well, it's not like I'm in his class anymore, you know?

Turtle: Point.

DORMS

Valentine: Karla was improving her pianist skills i--

Turtle: Gross, Val, you've got to have that wrong.

Valentine: ... Pianist, Turtle. Pianist. One who plays piano. Karla was playing piano in the rec room.

Turtle: Well, why didn't you say that to begin with?

Valentine: Either way, Ender show up for his dance lesson...awwww...and they talk about how they should plan this better so that his sister doesn't make a big deal out of the fact that he's taking a dance lesson from a pretty girl on the radio. Oh, you kids are so cute. Claudia and Zayne discuss Claudia's disbelief that Jon and Kate are getting divorced. ...Who?

Turtle: And you claim to pay attention to stuff, Val, geez. Jaina finds out that John with the Hair is no long a bunny and fills him in on what happened with Jolee. What happened with Jolee?

Valentine: Don't look at me. I don't pay attention to stuff.

Turtle: Whatever. Jon was in the fourth floor common room, sorting through pictures on his computer, which he got for a very good price at Turtle & Canary. Karla comes in and they discuss Arthur's potential future in modeling. Oooh. He should talk to Chad about that! Modeling I think is the only thing Chad could do well. Except maybe being tall and grunting. When Robin the Frog comes in and doesn't recognize what's on TV, he and Jon talk about the frog being from the early eighties. My exboyfriend's from the 80s.

Valentine: I'm sorry.

TOWN

Turtle: Jen had her last shift at Pizza Planet, leaving her to clean like a maniac. No word on any extreme floor buffering like Amber, though. Miss Graham was being all emo in her apartment.

Valentine: Rachel was sorting through paperwork at MCA, while Liir seemed a little out of it at the book store; maybe Leda and Ino stopping into chat with him helped a little.

Turtle: In the parking lot, Mr. Rogers was working on his bike. We have a parking lot? I need to bring my car into that. And there may or may not have been evil laughter at Pixie Dust as Jenny came in today after it was, quote, 'hers, all hers, MWA HA HA.'

Valentine: Arya opened up Coyote Medicine, and Ray tried to get things organized at the Trooper Station...

Turtle: Come check out the great deals we have on filing cabinets at Turtle & Canary, Sergeant Kowalski! I'll give you a great deal!

Valentine: Thank you, Turtle. Anyway, he and Turtle's favorite detective constable talked coffee.

Turtle: We've got coffee makers, too!

Valentine: There's another birthday party at Chilly Boulder, this time for Edmund. Claire and the birthday boy, talking Fandom and time jumps. Wendy got him a sparkly pink tiara for his birthday, and Rose granted him permission to rot his teeth. Karla and Billy also make an appearance.

Turtle: Mary seems to be in a good mood at the Arms Hotel; probably because there's guests! One of them is Reno, who'd prefer not to share a floor with any teachers because he's Reno and graduating can't change the fact that he's Reno and probably going to be up to something I'd disapprove of.

Valentine: That narrows things down.

Turtle: Oh, shut up. Jackie Blue, whoever that is, wants a room, a bar, and some cute boys.

Valentine: Plenty of all three around here. Lulu also gets a room and catches up on some of the crazy she's missed. In Reno's room, there's quite a party of people coming through. Dōjima needed his help getting her cat in a carrier...I'm assured that's not a euphemism...while Ino talks with him about uncomfortable couches and leaving boyfriends. Romeo and Reno are really gossiping teenaged girls, and Rikku and Reno make out before gleeing about how their planets can grow food now. Nice segue. At the Gig, Dani works on buying a horse, and Harper sorted through kid's clothes at Things Reborn.

Turtle: Both Valentine and I failed today and missed the Support Services meeting, which involved water soakers, and we should not be so lame, Val. Among those who were there and didn't miss you lamely? Shilo, Karla, Claire, Arthur, Elle, Angela, and Harper. Karla and Claire got ready to be all alliterative sound-wise and Francine and Morgana--

Valentine:--and their breasts--

Turtle: Well, of course their breasts, it's not like they can just detach them. I hope. Anyway, they were there to answer questions. So it seems like a quiet day besides the Super Soakers. Which are awesome. At the York Gallery, Eve seemed distracted, while Dinah and George totally had a daaa-ate at the Perk, where he asked her to the dance. Which is tomorrow. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, there, George. And the SquishyBot is working for Hope at Turtle & Canary.

...It better be! Anyway, Tahiri was at the beach where she got some sort of Force call for help. Is that kind of like the Rat Signal? Either way, it was probably about Mister Bindo being attacked on the way to Caritas, considering he was helped out by Tahiri, Ben, Mister Skywalker, and Jaina.

Valentine: In less epic or surprising news, Turtle's favorite detective constable had a night in--

Turtle: Hoorah! Detective Constable Day staying in means I don't have to report about her doing fifty gazillion things!

Valentine: --with Max. Who is distinctly not slacking. So much for practicing what your preach. At the flower shop, Hurley seems very intent on distracting himself with wor, and Mina was working diligently, as usual, at the clinic, before she catches a portal with Minsc and Algren, although I don't think that's exactly intention.. Ben Reilly was behind the bar at Caritas, where Jolee finally hired him. And GOB is back; apparently, I should know who that is, too. But the fact that Ben doesn't know who he or Becky is makes me feel a little better.

Turtle: Iiiiii know who they aaaaaaaare.

Valentine: I'd suggest you say hi, then, but we're at the end of the notes, and good-byes are more appropriate then. Good night, everyone...

Turtle: ...and have a prosperous tomorrow!

"It was not a da-aaate!" Dinah told the Radio. "That's tomorrow! Sheesh."

[ooc: *Lol* at this and Val's reaction to the Ender-Karla dance. heee]
