Fandom Radio, Wednesday, February 11th
Good evening, Fandom. I hope tonight finds you all normal in whatever fashion you're usually inclined to be. I know I am, but that's no reason to assume the rest of you are dealing.
Squirrels, have some rum.
SCHOOL
Leadership class discussed motivating your subjects, such as when the economy finds itself in troubled waters. It takes some trouble, but I find that the right words at the right time can be a great help.
As with actions.
In Heroing class, we spoke of villains and how to defeat them. I wouldn't say I've ever had any trouble with the latter issue, but I'm certain those of you who do found great help in Adora. Anthromorphic Anatomy discussed muscles, which I'm sure was absolutely riveting. Chris was there to assist, should the subject prove to be too daunting.
Sam staffed the library as is befitting our return to normality, where Chuck asked him to inspect his wound. I wasn't aware Sam was also a physician. Peter comes bearing the usual drinks, which I still fail to see as being anything worth noting.
Flight Club, which I'm starting to gather doesn't involve birds, brings their usual feast. John and Jaina discussed what had been written about Lord Anakin this week. It seems they were rather engaged by the story. Heh. Squire Ben asked Tahiri to escort him to the feast at the end of this week. A bit young to be courting, but who am I to judge. Or care. There was a 'flight sim' and Anemone brought toys for Gavin. How old is he? Lord Anakin was, of course, also present and standing tall in the face of all that's happened.
Lady Ghanima has also survived the weekend, and finds both Lord Leto and Merlin discussing certain matters.
Merlin? We're going to need to talk about your definition of discretion. I know it's only one on a long list of your incompetences, but there's a line.
*chitters*
No, it has nothing to do with you. In his own office, Jean-Paul comes out of hiding. I suppose that's some sort of sane response, although you've got to face the world eventually.
DORMS
Chuck, Francine, Claire and Temari wake up- For the last time, that's hardly any of my business. Priestly the Village Idiot brings Dinah some water. That'll hopefully teach her some lessons about judging her drink. Ben and Ender take to the Flight Shed with Lord Anakin's help, where they tinker. I'm sure they had a grand time. Ned's birthday is today. That's... nice. Supposedly, Kaylee brought him pie. Isn't he the one who makes the pie? Hurley and Hoshi speak of the weekend, which I'd advise you not to for sanity's sake. She is however glad that she didn't show him anything inappropriate.
At least some of you have a decent sense of modesty.
Liir sees if Tony's all right because he hasn't been out and about. He hasn't? He seems to be alive. That's... important. And Lady Brooke works on her dress for the feast this Friday. I don't even have to say it at this point. More rum, if you will. Likewise for Amber.
Lee has taken it upon himself to sell tickets for the feast. I wasn't aware you needed to purchase anything for it. That's a bit... odd. Toby, who actually managed to find something, discusses his written work with Lee. It's something of a surprise he's even literate. No offense. Robin helps himself to some tickets. Lord Leto is attempting to imitate the Teevee on his baliset, whatever it may be. Chad passes by and is, I hope, a proper servant.
Jamie brings food to the fourth floor common room. Among those partaking are Priestly the Idiot, Temari who doesn't wish to fight Jamie for it- let's hope it doesn't come to that- Marco whose attempt to pretend to be losing limbs actually seems to work, and Jack. Among news that is barely of any interest is Priestly speaking to Temari, and Sookie's upset at the death of her 'flour baby'. It's flour, woman, baking it is what you do. Presumably. Priestly fails to understand her upset, and I fear I'll have to agree with him. Jack merely thinks she's loud.
Can we stop talking about baking now?
Eve leads the cheer this week. Sam and Peyton are grateful for the lack of issue during their weekend. I can't say I blame them, but we weathered it all right. John eyed Ronan in a suspicious fashion. Do you really pay attention to this kind of detail? ...Well, I suppose at that height... nevermind. Ned and Romeo were, presumably, there to watch.
Kappa Kappa Gremlin meets. In a stunning turn-around of excitement, the choice in food brings about a blasphemy. Then they... all sit down and talk about campouts. I suppose it was too much to hope. They mingle, the heads are there, and Chad and Teddy make some sort of plans to celebrate the length of their courtship. *audible sense of someone pulling a face* Congratulations to you both. I suppose.
As per usual, Dinah, who's finally managed to get upright, is in the common room watching the Teevee. She speaks to Blysse about literacy, which she lacks. That's... not as surprising as you may think, Dinah. Jack waves at her. Merlin's shocked- big surprise there- because Blysse isn't too phased by the weekend. Like I said, we weathered it well. Dinah and Merlin speak of her unfortunate misadventure in the halls, and how she should apologize to me. That may just be a start. Dinah then speaks to Tahiri about naked revenge.
...
No, really?
Blysse and Tahiri converse about what's on the Teevee- I don't have any need to know- at which point Merlin meets Tahiri. I think she's been mentioned to me before: another squire? Jack then waves at Merlin and Tahiri and good god, man, are you trying to make your arm fall off or are you just mentally challenged? Dinah asks Francine about the weekend, right. Merlin turns around and talks to her about the weekend and how...
Merlin, I know I've mentioned this before. In fact, I've probably mentioned it a hundred times. Have you no brain at all?
Francine and Blysse discuss the vicious nature of fights about the remote. I can only dare dream. Jack blinks at Francine, which is a step up from waving. Viki stops by to speak to Dinah, and find out how well Blysse likes it. Jack discusses the usual nature of the day with Viki, but he still needs it explained to him that Tony isn't currently where he's supposed to be.
TOWN
Cable and Deadpool have their... whatever as usual. Celebration. Toby was ridiculously excited at Pixie Dust. That's new then. Angela gave both Triela and Peyton advice on what to wear for the dance. I'm sure that was fascinating, can we move on? Claudia spoke to Toby before doing her shopping, while Triela and Dinah discussed how awful Dinah looked. I could've predicted that. Dinah assured Angela she was fine, and spoke of yet more girly things with Peyton. Sookie promised Toby she'd be a better customer, which I imagine involves less talking about girly things.
Naomi opened Stark's, where she gained her usual visit from Jack. Who still had his arms. Simon devoured some cake at the Perk, where he spoke to Inara of his sister who used to be in this school. Attendance is starting to seem rather generational. I wonder... Tully asked Simon about his weekend. I don't see why you all feel the need to discuss it. Jeff manned the hotel. Hinata came by to take the flour- what is it with the baking materials today?- and to assure him it wouldn't end in commitment. Right. I suppose every village needs two idiots to trade days. Turtle brings him sandwiches, and assures him that Hinata won't kill him. I don't know, commitment may be worse.
Claire was late to her duties. I have sympathy for her master. Cal appears to court her and ask her to the feast, which is chivalrous of him. Katina listened to music at Strokes of Genius, where Liir inquired if she could teach him how to be angry. ... Right. I don't think anyone can help you on that one, if I may be so bold. Ino spoke to her plants yet again at the Arms. Cable appeared to grill her on some sort of mission. That must've been an interesting one. Cal came for advice. I'm starting to wonder if there's something in those plants.
Sir Dale opened the Knight's Station. As Sir Daisy overheard, he spent the weekend overindulging. Well. Ichigo fed a rat at Coyote Medicine. You fed it? What, are you completely mad? You'll never be rid of it. Ino brought food and discussion of her recent mission. Which, again, I gather involved plants. Mina found herself preoccupied in the park. Loki wished to know of her weekend, except that in this whirling turnabout, they'd already met during it. I'm not sure you should wish to be so vocal about that. She then met Sir Minsc and his hamster. That'll do you some good.
Sarah brought her father to Stark's in order to discuss purchase of a mine with the owner. Tony discussed the matter with his servants afterwards.
Penelope brought flour to the bar. Honestly. Is it some sort of cultural thing? Martha is the physician on staff- Mohinder wishes to know if she has a cure for embarrassment. I'm certain there's several people on this island who'd like to hear the answer to that, so try to let a squirrel know.
Now, for the less energizing news: Liir opened Cafe Fina, Sarah watched the clock at the Android's Dungeon... right... Johnny did no work at Luke's Diner. Someone may have to speak to him. Amber opened Turtle & Canary, Alice brought her cat to... that place, while Tully searched for antiques at Needful Things. And, finally, Edmund had yet more flour at the Gig.
What is it with the flour?
*chittering*
...
They what?
Well, that may be cruel and unusual.
