Fandom Radio :: Friday, November 7th.

Hey, everyone. It's Cal covering for Turtle tonight, once again. Apparently, she's at some wedding, and the squirrels couldn't get that bald teacher with the hamster to cover because he said his friend turned into some bear thing, and I was all, 'yeah, well, my exgirlfriend turned into a kitten,' but there was twenty bucks involved, so I thought why the hell not?

So, here we go, a all the crap that happened today. Whoo.

SCHOOL

It was announced today that Toby, Naomi, and me all have detention tomorrow, even though I didn't do anything, but whatever.

In Phys Ed, they played tether ball. Oooh, tether ball. What a physical challenge. They still had to wear bad uniforms and Hannibal was still TA.

In Chemistry, they watched a film on Marie Currie, and Ino and Rikku were good little TAs.

History in Living Color had to figure out how to stop an alien invasion from inside a Cabinet Room, which I think means, like, governmental cabinet and not, like, cupboard cabinets, but I could be wrong. Ask Dick and Peyton, they were TAs.

Minsc played chess with a freaking zoo in his office, before bothering Mohinder, who was going over some stuff that arrived today.
Aaand, the office is filled with hammocks. In other completely un-newsworthy things....

DORMS

Angela was awesome and making pancakes in the fourth floor common room. Well, microwaving them. It still counts. She and Hannibal discuss whether that's safe and delicious, and I'm sure it is on the second part, but, as Claire informed me, everything gives you cancer these days, but who cares, because they were delicious. I know, because I had some, after showing of Amber as a kitty to Robin; Robin also introduced himself to Hannibal, and Ichigo had some to and Angela tells him she didn't think his dad was so bad. There was also flashing. Great, all I get is called cute, and Ichigo gets boobs. I'm sensing some imbalance here, Angela.

Alice is all shrunk in the fifth floor common room, which...really? Makes me wish I were there instead of here, because that sounds really fascinating. Agnes was pretty surprised to suffer the effects as well. She chats with Alice about potions and mushrooms that also change your size. Uh-huh. Potions and 'shrooms. I feel like this should be something I shouldn't report on.

Robin gourged on Halloween candy in his room...dude, you still have some left? Impressive. While, in another room, Ben stared at a different plush frog. Triela stoppe din to comment on Ben's fascination with his frog, and Meg came around, to apologize. Tahiri also stopped in, noticing that Ben wasn't doing so well, which Ben confirmed. Dean collapsed into bed after getting back from a trip, and Sam checked up on him to talk about how, quote, 'sucktastic' the trip was. Ino will never, ever learn, but then Liir doesn't help by just sitting there and letting her put ribbons on her. Ugh, be a man, man, come on! Don't let her think that's okay. It's not, Ino! Stop it! Just say no!

*ahem*

Anyway, let's move on.

TOWN

Daisy and Ray had a lunch date at El Burrito Loco, which doesn't feel like a vaguely offensive name for a restaurant at all, really. And now a vaguely offensive segue to Chad, who taught a dog about punk rock at Groovy Tunes, which sounds very productive. Coyote was all aghast that people paid for music. This, coming from a guy with a detachable...nevermind. A bunch of pink balloons manned the desk at the hotel. Okay, then. Rikku fought with sleep at the meditation place, and Reno brought her cookies, awww. Gag. Viki was also sleepy at Strokes of Genius. Dor had to deal with complaining comics at the comic book shop, where Sarah kind of thought it was both really interesting and kind of messed up.

Eve choked down coffee at the gallery and Charlotte caught up with her on whacky island stuff. Jen worked at her computer at the pizza place, and Ray made some de-emo-ing plans at the station. Sarah came in to get a load of the local authorities and Daisy dragged him out to lunch, as previously mentioned. Edmund got all ready to go back to Narnia at the Gig; I'm sure that's, like, another world or something. Anyway, Tully gave a horse an apple. Kaylee was working on something new at Stark Industries, where her boss pestered her about what it was and Ben dropped in to let her know where he was all week. Hurley read the paper at the flower shop and Ella had waffles at the diner.

Mmm, waffles.

Oh, yeah, and Dick showed up to be all cute and kissy and blah blah blah. I'm post break-up right now, okay, and this isn't even my job, so I can be bitchy about it.

Tino was building a crystal palace of glasses at Caritas tonight, which made Jolee conclude that he needs more friends, and I agree. I'm not volunteering, though. Daisy dropped in, though, maybe she'll be Tino's friend.

That's all the news. I'm now twenty bucks richer and thankfully shin-kick free. Thanks for listening.

[[ sorry for the earliness tonight; people at work blatantly ignored my availability this week and I have to be up at four thirty in the am. blaaarrrgg ]]

"Next time, Cal. Next time!" Angela told him.

Or, more told her radio, whatever.
