Fandom Radio, February 21
Happy Wednesday, Fandom. Don't act like you're not excited.
School!
Tactics learned about reinforcements. Those sound important? Everyone got to watch a movie, which is fun, and then get to try and convince some guy that he needs help. It's entertaining, and, in at least one case, looks to get violent. River is TAing, as usual, and Bridge asks Kerrigan about there not being reinforcements. In this case, I'd say you're screwed, but she's the expert, and says that strategery matters. In Invasions, which I'm tempted to make the squirrels tape for me to watch, and sell, should any of these situations occur, there are zombies. Who, as you may have guessed, eat brains. Huh. People pay attention, obviously, and then partner up. And then there are zombies. Luke the TA is there, and not chased by the hungry zombies for obvious reasons, and Prof. Winchester is there, should any zombies get out of hand. I hope that's why he's there.
French gets to talk about food, yum. Everyone agrees with me, and they're totally hungry, but not for brains. There's some French talk, and some French professor, as well. Ethics talks about important, deep things like forgiveness and temperance and dilligence. They got asked and answered a question about dilligence, and decided if they wanted to kill the Evil Old Dude--which, if that's his name, I think you're good on the kill front--and then had to decide if they could forgive themselves for whatever they chose. TA Jo, which doesn't make a fun word, though I tried (TAjo? JoTA?) is there, as is Anakin.
Conflict Resolution talks about mediation, and the squirrels said no one is blue, but wondered why I asked--oh, not meditation. Sorry. The kids then practiced some mediating, which sounds dirty but isn't, and there was Wilson ready to mediate as well.
Bridge Libraried, which was good, because Turtle needed to ask about moose and meeses, and G'Kar had to return his book. And Sky came by, and we all learned that Bridge can't braid Sky's hair, but he does know about spring break.
Nathan has office hours, as does Aly, who gets a visit from an eager to learn Seregil. Seriously? Who asks for more to learn?
There is Hightimes! My favorite non-violent club! Peter (not Perfect Peter, and not...what are we calling the one who hooked up with Brooke? Not him. The other one.) says a big "no" to putting his phone number in articles, and gives everyone but Jamie pastries and coffee. Jamie does get a project involving personals and Charlie Kawalsky. Not sure who he is, but he must be lonely.
...*shufflesnotes*...my favorite violent club didn't meet? But how will I make jokes about being terrified of minors with weaponry? Host Club sends an email, which you should all have gotten, but they don't go on a shooting rampage.
Dorms
Ron gets a care package from home--I assume your parents didn't get the underwear run memo, and therefore still associate with you--and goes on a sugar high. Sokka brings by yet more candy in an attempt to make sure things are okay after said underwear incident. Adah is having a bad dream--ugh, I know the feeling, that sucks, but alcohol helps. Chad and the UGLIEST CAT EVER play some guitar (so it's ugly, but talented?), and Liir stops by to let him know about some memories. For serious though, that cat....is it supposed to look like that? Was there perhaps some tragic accident in which it lost all of the normal cutness that cats have?
....Liir is now "blue diamonded," as opposed to green. The squirrels think this is an improvement, if that makes you feel better? Oh, and then Andrew is being kinda emo in his room, and Liir comes, and they are "the BEST BOYFRIENDS EVER" and the squirrels have little green and blue diamonded flags that say "Lindrew" on them. It's all very cute, I guess.
Happy birthday Eve! It's her birthday, and Savannah gets her a present, and Adam comes to visit. Unrelated, but I can't go a paragraph without emo, Jack is moping. But, to mock your pain, John is whistling and talking about spring break with Romeo, and then Jania comes to visit. And Ino is packing. See what I did there? How I hid the emo? That's what you have to do, otherwise it spreads. And then we're all screwed. In the gym, Sky is working out, and Hoshi and him do the headnod-hey thing. Exercise is good--it gives you endorphins, which make you happy. And happy people don'tkill their husbands get emo. They just don't!
DOOM has finally lost his shit. He's serving DOOMCAKES, or "DOES" to people in the common room, and if any of you took one you're immediately on the "too dumb to live" list, which is also the "safe from zombies" list, so it evens out. He has a horrifying conversation with Hoshi, in which she wisely turns down cupcakes, but does give him a high five. Jack says hi to Hoshi and does not appear to eat any DOES. Jamie does not buy MISTER DOOM's niceness, even when MISTER DOOM offers him a pinkie swear. Sokka makes it STRAIGHT TO THE LIST in that he asks for a doomcake. On purpose. AND EATS IT. Too dumb to live, Sokka. Jack, I am sad to say, actually does eat a DOES. I retract my earlier statement, and issue a new one: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Anything that is described with the sentence "DOOMCAKES are their own flavor" IS NOT FOR EATING. Naomi also eats one. Annnnnnd I'm finished with all of you. Be ASHAMED.
Town! (Where hopefully none of you ate anything INSANE)
Millie is at Book Haven for all your bookly needs. Pizza Planet is open, and Makoto is there playing some video games. At Groovy Tunes, Melody is playing some air drums. At my least favorite Arms, Cable is reviewing stuff, and the puppy is cute. Jack comes in to ask about a gun, for apparently not the first time, and is denied. Again, not for the first time. Burn!
GMB has the Banana Stand open, without the usual seagull. Meanwhile, Mary is wedding planning at my favorite Arms. Fraser stops by to visit, and hears about the wedding, yay. Turtle is at the Perk, with charts and smart things, and Jack stops by for a latte. And Pixie Dust is open, with Isabel on her laptop. Luke's is also open, though Yitzhak doesn't appear to be there, with or without a laptop.
At the Magic Box, Ami is doing some reading. Lucas is at the Wonders of the World--not the real ones, the golf ones. I always feel like I should clarify that. Sokka is late at Turtle and Canary, and takes it out at Apu. Jack comes in for a squishy, but Sokka tells him not to stare, cause that'd be creepy. So staring hits his creepy threshold, but not something called "DOOMCAKE." Just checking. Oh, and Sky stops by for some candy, which I can support.
In Caritas, Robin has a dayplanner and is not afraid to use it. Fraser visits, and they talk about their boring days and their dogs. Eve is out celebrating her birthday.
Oh, and there will be Cheerleading tryouts this weekend. Which is apparently spring break? Even though we're in what I would call OMG WINTER right now. But I'll be here, while you all go and gone wild.
And seriously, kids, don't eat DOOMCAKES. Or anything that doesn't know its flavor. Or anything that is pronounced in all capitals. Just because it hurts me, because when you do something dumb, I smack myself in the face. It's a nervous tic, I can't help it. So stop!
Night!
