Fandom Radio, Saturday, May 17

Good morning, everyone. I trust you are all well after yesterday's...excitement. That seems a good word. I am as always Miss Lydia Bennet, here to bring you all the news, giant lizard-related and otherwise, the squirrels saw fit to bring me.

We shall begin with the school, where Relax and Chill class--not sure how taking a chill could be relaxing--had the customary first class introductions, followed by a spot of yoga. Galactic Tourism visited somewhere called Odessen, and likewise featured introductions. In First Aid, there were also introductions, followed by a discussion of how to treat an injured giant lizard. As you do.

Ah, I see that the porg did find its way into the dormitory, as we've a note about how I was in the third floor common room attempting to figure out the television with Miss Belle. The note claims we were watching 'curling,' but I wish to assure you, dear listeners, that whatever that was did not involve hairdressing at all. In the town, Mr. Rand was at The Perk explaining that he is not dead (as one does) when he discovered the giant lizard infestation. The lizards knocked over some books at The Ink Spot, which I'm sure was very distressing to Captain Flint, before Mr. Rand arrived in his defense with a sabre made of light! At the Trooper Station, Detective Watts was absolutely swamped with emergency calls, and received a lovely floral arrangement courtesy of Mr. Grant, presumably not to commemorate the occasion of giant lizards being everywhere, before he and Mr. McGarrett discussed the best munitions to use against said giant lizards. I suppose things have rather progressed from cannonballs. At the boarding house, Mr. Spector stood upon the roof, from which vantage point he could see Dr. Quinn...riding upon one of the lizards. I do hope she is all right.

There was quite a lot going on in the park, it seems, where Mrs. Solo-Fel likewise had one of those sabres made of light and was joined by Mr. LeBeau and his exploding playing cards (please no one tell Wickham where to obtain those), as well as Mr. Odinson--excuse me, the squirrels are correcting me on how to use a patronymic, Mr. Thor and his magic hammer. He exchanged compliments on magic weapons with Mrs. Solo-Fel as well as catching up with Mr. LeBeau before they were joined by Mr. Anthony Stark, who observed correctly that it was Friday. Mrs. Solo-Fel wished to know if this was a usual Friday occurrence, and Mr. Stark caught up with Mr. LeBeau and Mr. Thor. Mr. Rogers made a dramatic entrance with his magic shield, and Mr. Stark accused him of "stealing their thunder." I believe it would be Mr. Thor's, if the thunder indeed belongs to anyone. Speaking of Mr. Thor, he and Mr. Rogers did some sort of tricks with their respective weapons. I am glad the gentlemen were having fun, although Mrs. Solo-Fel accused them of showing off before Mr. Rogers invited her and her family to post-battle drinks. Mr. Rogers and Mr. LeBeau found the time to compare their home universes whilst fighting off the invaders, which is most impressive multitasking, I must say. Dean Skywalker welcomed Mrs. Solo-Fel back to Fandom, and was welcomed to the fray by Mr. LeBeau and Mr. Thor, who wished to know if he had fought the beasts before. Mr. Henry wished to know if the lizards were demons, and was assured by Mrs. Solo-Fel and Mr. LeBeau that they were not, although Mr. Rogers and Mr. Thor were not 'ruling it out,' as it were. Mr. Stark advised Mr. Henry to seek shelter at the dormitory, which was very good advice, I must say. Miss Skywalker was also present with her own magic light sabre, and Dean Skywalker told her that fighting the lizards counted as training. Miss Vess had her own...army of undead lizard monsters...as one does, which Mrs. Solo-Fel checked were not to be killed (apparently they are already dead). Mr. Stark asked if they were her new friends, and learned they were an 'entourage,' and Mr. Rogers was...riding one of the lizards (as one does, apparently), but mercifully not planning to keep it as a pet. Ah, and Mr. Thor also greeted Miss Vess.

After the battle was done, some of the participants retired to Stark Tower for the promised refreshments. Mr. Stark and Mr. Rogers discussed how much fun they had, whilst Mr. Thor praised the pizza, though he did not believe it as fine as that from New York, which Mr. Stark lamented Mr. Rogers would not allow him to order. He and Mr. Rogers discussed practicing before the next occasion for violence--which hopefully will not be any time soon! Mr. LeBeau proposed a game of cards, but had to settle for a glass of bourbon courtesy of Mr. Rogers. Mrs. Solo-Fel brought her family, with Mr. Rogers assuring her that his dog would like the children and Mrs. Solo-Fel praising the building, which apparently had to be renovated after her fake grandmother threw a whale through it (as you do). Her husband, Mr. Fel, was also present, with Mr. Rogers offering him a drink...and with that, dear listeners, it seems I am finally at the end of my notes! I am in desperate need of a cup of tea, so I shall bid you farewell until next week, when hopefully I will have no further giant lizard news to import!
