Fandom Radio, Saturday, October 26
--I'm almost finished, if you would just let me--you've turned it on already. Of course you have.
*sigh*
Good morning, my dear listeners, and I am Miss Lydia Bennet, coming you from my hotel room where the squirrels have, despite my very best efforts at warding, found me, although thankfully just to read notes, not to scribble them about me. Now let's hurry it along so I can finish packing and have another of those lovely breakfasts before we must depart, hmm?
Nothing from the school or dormitory because we're all here, of course, but in the town we have a note from the Ink Spot, where Captain Flint was reading For-Fordyce's...Fordyce's sermons.
*anxious chittering*
I do not have 'PTSD.' I do not even know what that is. I shall have to...to inquire as to how Captain Flint found his reading material when we get back to the island.
*a pause for Lydia to stare into the abyss*
Moving along to the school trip here in lovely Quebec City, Canada! There was much to do during the day, of course. At the hotel Mr. Kestis awoke to find Miss Finch returning from the restroom, and I shall not comment further on anything else there, thank you very much. *vague muttering amongst which 'deeply inappropriate' can be heard*
The hotel continued to have many lovely dining options. At breakfast, Miss Zarrin and Miss Khan discussed shopping, and Mr. Odinson and Miss Belova discussed his relationship with Dr. Blake, while Mr. Stark (the one without a ballroom) was also amongst those enjoying the meal. I later partook of afternoon tea--a lovely innovation, I must say. Elsewhere, Mr. Amicitia took advantage of the hotel's gym.
Further abroad, the school sponsored at trip to Montmorency Falls, with several people in attendance including Detective Watts, who did not enjoy the heights, and Mr. Grant. There was also a class on making cheese churds, which they use in that 'poutine' stuff they eat here, I have been told, as well as another whale-watching opportunity. Ms. Vess and Mr. Scientia, after his cheese-making class, were amongst those taking one last opportunity to avail themselves of the shopping.
In the evening, there were many lovely activities for people to enjoy, including a dinner cruise on the river, with Detective Watts and Mr. Grant and Mr. Sims. Mr. Stark and Miss Smith opted to dine instead at Chez Dagobert--do forgive me if I have butchered that--while Mr. and Mrs. Argentum celebrated his birthday at Restaurant Le Continental. Many happy returns, sir! And now if everyone will excuse me, I must finish packing and order some more of those spiced apples. Until next week, dear listeners!
