Fandom Radio, Saturday, September 21

Good morning, dearest listeners, and this is Miss Lydia Bennet, here with the news of the squirrels. We shall begin, as always, with the school, where The Weird, Wonderful, and Double You Tee Eff World learned about the food of the middle of the past century and then got to try some! I'm sure it was all delicious. Food Field Trips then visited a jelly bean factory--who ever heard of jelly made from beans?--where Sir Graham and Miss Gale discussed how best to bring back large quantities of beans and whether Sir Graham's noble steed might be welcome in the establishment, and Miss Smith made Mr. Stark guess the flavor of a bean. Don't they all taste like beans?

Nothing for the dorms, the porg is very sad, so on and so forth, we move along to the town, where at Miss Zarrin was researching the properties of honey. Sir Graham, at the Magpie Emporium--No, I'm not saying it like that. Stop looking at me like that. I said stop it.--as I was saying. Sir Graham was at work, with first rather a lot of energy and then rather less. That's what a mid-afternoon cup of tea is for, sir. At Stark Industries, Miss Mariner was trying to...get a machine to produce worms so she could...eat them. The less I know about that the better, so let's move on to the Trooper Station, where Detective Watts fielded some odd calls and had lunch, which was hopefully not worms, with Mr. Grant. At the Ink Spot, Captain Flint fended off a squirrel mutiny, and then he and I discussed trying the restaurants on the island. Not just the two of us, of course, that would be completely inappropriate even if he is old. I think we're going to form a sort of club. A supper club, if you will. Worms shall not feature. I hope. At Pizza Planet, Mr. Raiden cruelly refused his staff cake, while later, at the Devil's Nest, Mr. Lucifer oversaw some work in an attempt to stop the song that has been playing all week. My final note reports that Mr. Williams brought home pizza to a wary Mr. McGarrett, who is no longer an otter. Congratulations to Mr. McGarrett!

And with that, dear listeners, I bid you farewell, as I'm off to find a cup of tea and perhaps do some shopping. I need new boots for the colder season, you see, and shoes have changed an awful lot since my day. Until next week!
