Fandom Radio, Saturday, September 7

Good morning, dear listeners, it is I, Miss Lydia Bennet, here to bring you the news of the day that was yesterday.

*whump*

Why are there so many--

*chittering*

I see. Well. Soonest started, soonest ended. We shall begin as always with the school. The Weird, Wonderful, and...Doubleyou Tee Eff World took a portal to an island in Japan with many cats for their first class, which sounds delightful! The students did the usual introductions, and after class Mr. Stark--the one without a ballroom--talked to Miss Smith about how her own cat would never forgive her if she brought another home. It's true, they're very territorial creatures, cats. Then, that same Mr. Stark's Food Field Trips class was off to visit an ice cream factory in Vermont. A whole factory, for ice cream! Imagine! They, of course also had introductions, and that closes out my notes from the school.

Nothing for the dormitory, so we move along to the town, where at Needful Things Detective Watts brought Dr. Quinn some ice cream from the aforementioned excursion after his shift at the Trooper Station, where he had lunch with Mr. Grant. At the Magpie--

*chittering*

I am not saying it like that. Hush. At the Magpie Emporium, Sir Graham realized he had missed his class earlier in the day, and I am not sure if his class involved ice cream or cats but either way, sir, I hope today's news has not been too distressing. At Stark Industries, Miss Mariner was working on a project for the Starbucks gremlins, a sentence that I must assure our newcomers will eventually make sense. Mr. Raiden continued to cope with a surplus of apples at Pizza Planet, while at Plant Parenthood Miss Zarrin received a visit from Miss Khan with something called 'green juice.' Apparently she is trying to consume less red dye, and I wish her luck in her quest. Miss Skywalker was at her warehouse with Dean Skywalker, who had been transformed into a cat. Oh! I might be able to help with that.

*explanatory chittering*

Excuse me, the squirrels say we must 'wait it out.' Moving along...at the lighthouse cottage, Miss Belova hosted a furniture assembly party. Why would it need to be--doesn't your furniture come already assembled?

*more explanatory chittering*

...the future is very strange. People arrived and were put to work, and also plied with pizza and alcohol, which doesn't seem the best in combination with assembling one's furnishings, if you ask me. Dr. Blake was there, and he and Miss Belova discussed a film about a talking candlestick and a clock, and whether or not they are old. I...shall not offer my own thoughts on the matter. Mr. Blackwood and Dr. Blake realized they had already met in his class, and he and Mrs. Pryde-Barton discussed further socializing, and Dr. Blake's research. Mr. Blackwood's familiar, Mr. Boston, requested pizza, and Miss Belova offered him the 'Hawaiian' variety and discussed whether or not Mr. Blackwood was a threat to her Roomba. More things for me to Google after this broadcast! Ms. Pryde-Barton learned the polite way to address Mr. Boston, and about Mr. Blackwood's magical cosmetics. Hmph. He didn't say anything about those to me. Here I am poking myself with pins to glamour over spots and the only other proper witch on this island doesn't tell me he sells magical cosmetics--

*chittering*

Yes, yes, I'm getting on with it. Mr. Logan was also in attendance, and Miss Belova greeted him and gave him both beer and pizza, whilst he commented on her choices in decor. Mrs. Pryde-Barton remarked upon his attendance and told him she might need help later, and Dr. Blake was judged for his friendliness and optimism. Yes. How dare he. Mr. Blackwood and Mr. Logan compared their dwellings, with Mr. Blackwood's being, apparently, the more impressive, both in that it has a full complement of furnishings and that he magically enlarged it from a model. As one does. Mr. O'Hara recognized Mr. Logan as 'a wolverine,' which I thought was a large type of weasel of some kind, but Mr. Logan didn't recognize Mr. O'Hara at all, even after he told him that he was a...spider man. God be good. I shall...give Mr. O'Hara a wide berth, then. Mrs. Pryde-Barton complimented Miss Belova's decor, and they discussed their families. Mr. Stark--not the one who took people to an ice cream factory earlier--arrived with two dogs, one of whom he told Miss Belova was Mr. Rogers, and they discussed his desire to make improvements to her furnishings. Someone should! Furniture that you have to assemble yourself, what is the world coming to...

Mrs. Pryde-Barton and Mr. Stark argued about his possible improvements to Miss Belova's belongings, and then Dr. Blake encouraged him to stick to the instructions. Mr. Blackwood tended to agree with him that the furniture lacked sturdiness, and then they discussed the Waffle House. It comes and goes, I believe. Mr. O'Hara arrived and commented on Miss Belova's use of color, so the hostess was called upon to explain her choices, with Mr. Blackwood making claims regarding her future plans. Lastly, Mr. Barton arrived and metMiss Belova, who told him she knew a version of him from her home universe, then discussed new furniture for their home with his wife and met Mr. Boston, who was unimpressed by his dogs, and Mr. Blackwood.

And that is the end of my notes! If you will excuse me, dear listeners, I must find myself a cup of tea, and then hopefully Mr. Blackwood to find out about these magical cosmetics. Until next week, farewell!
